Top Soviet-bloc defector: Marxism infecting U.S.
WorldNetDaily ^ | June 27, 2012 | Lt. Gen. Ion Mihai Pacepa

Posted on 06/27/2012 6:55:01 AM PDT by khelus

Yes, we won the Cold War, but unlike other wars the Cold War did not end with an act of surrender and with the defeated enemy throwing down his weapons. But no, we are not fighting Marxism in our country, because the American people have not yet been warned that their country is being contaminated by Marxism. ...

I wonder what really happened to Bezmenov. Supposedly he died in a one-car accident? Info is sketchy. In one video he mentioned having a Filipina wife.

I heard he died circa 1997 because of a heart decease.

There is a new warning about the march of Marxism in our country. This was released in 2010: DVD

I concur. This is a good DVD.

Did Communism Fake Its Own Death in 1991?
American Thinker ^ | January 16, 2010 | Jason McNew

In a [] 1984 book [New Lies for Old], ex-KGB Major Anatoliy Golitsyn predicted the liberalization of the Soviet Bloc and claimed that it would be a strategic deception. ..."

"Golitsyn's argument was that beginning in about 1960, the Soviet Union embarked on a strategy of massive long-range strategic deception which would span several decades and result in the destruction of Western capitalism and the erection of a communist world government."

"Golitsyn published his second book, The Perestroika Deception, after the Soviet Union was dissolved in 1991. This book contained further analysis of the liberalization, in addition to previously classified memoranda submitted by Golitsyn to the CIA. The two books must be read together to get a complete picture of Golitsyn's thesis."

I have always been curious about what happened to Yuri. The most I have seen is that Yuri disappeared off the radar in the late 1990’s.

For anyone who is interested you can read Yuri here:

If Russia is truly done with Communism and are now “Capitalists”, why do they still support Marxist dictatorships such as Venezuela, Cuba, other far left regimes throughout Latin America, the ChiComs and North Korea? Their criticisms of Obama being a Socialist are bogus. If they really are now opposed to Socialism/Communism they would join us (pre-Obama) in condemning these regimes, not help build them up.

The “Bear” is just lying in wait—in a state of hibernation. KGB Putin longs for the days of the old communist Soviet Union. He remarked its so-called ‘collapse’ was the “worst geopolitical catastrophe of the 20th century”. He recently praised Cold War spies and moles. He is a power hungry, egotistical freak, and has ordered hits on many of his political opponents, at home and elsewhere.

Communism sucked dry its terrestrial host in Eastern Europe and bounced to the fertile (and clueless) West. Talk about a NEP (New Economic Policy).

It never goes away because it promises to reward the most vile and base of human behaviors, raw power for the sake of power, carried aloft by ego. Obama in a nutshell.

BTW, am I the only one who finds something strangely “off” about Bezmenov? I think I have seen every video on the net. Can’t quite put my finger on it. While he appears to have been truthful, intuition nags at me, saying that there was something rather calculated about his demeanor. Almost as if his matter-of-fact description of, say, Ted Kennedy as a “useful idiot” was used to gain the trust of his audience.

I’ve had enough dealings with devious, calculating personalities that those things jumped out at me. Could be nothing.

That he just sort of vanished doesn’t help. Maybe he slinked off to the Philipines.

The definition of globalism is communism in a business suit.

That's very good! I'd like to share this with the "free traders", if you don't mind.

I am currently band width challenged and have not seen Yuri’s videos. I have read all his work and the interview posted at the uselessdissident blog and found it credible. The things he warned us about have been confirmed by others as well as our own observations.

Perhaps what you picked up on is a cultural thing: Russian vs US manner of expressing oneself.

In his writing ‘Black is Beautiful: Communism Is Not’ Yuri states that he married a dark skinned woman and live in a black neighborhood in LA.

A GOP that will nominate a Presidential candidate that favors gay marriage, gun control, and Romneycare is most certainly veering to the left, and a Democrat party whose incumbent President is certainly a Marxist and supported by Comintern agents like Ayers is what exists now.

That is certainly a correct statement. But to say that 95% of the Republican party is Communist is the type of hyperbole that is degrading discussion here on FR. We conservatives have challenges (getting better presidential nominees is one of them) but to say Romney = Obama, or to claim that the GOP is in league with the communist Left is insane blather.

To a point, but he seems fuzzy on detail the further along the path he takes you. I am not trying to be antagonistic at all and don't have time to review the many videos. I was just wondering if anyone else got this impression.

Perhaps what you picked up on is a cultural thing: Russian vs US manner of expressing oneself.

Having much experience around Eastern Europeans (1st generation and also Cold War-era immigrants), I saw much familiarity in his manner. So at first I cancelled that out, but there continued to be something that bothered me. Perhaps it has something to do with his casualness in describing his [previous] use of deception. He was a little too at ease, even considering the cultural frankness.

Your theory interests me because it relies on the Laws of Nature as supplied by the Creator. Fits well with our founding documents.

Hyperbole, perhaps. Degrading, not so much. It is hardly degrading to call people to the carpet for their actions, nor degrading to call a shovel, a shovel. Nor is it insane blather to speculate on nature of the GOP’s equivocation, temporizing, and acquiescence with the Left’s agenda for too many years. In fact, it is central to the issue about whether or not the GOP is a vehicle for conservatism- which is an issue, especially if what myself and the OP think is true- that the left has in fact taken both parties.
