Obama made a very serious mistake in invoking the issue of Executive Privilege in the F&F matter.
First, he has now made Holder's problems his problem. Why would he do that unless there was some smoking gun memo that involved Obama personally? Is his ego so big that he thinks that simply his "presence" will remedy the situation. If so, I would remind him of how successful he was in bringing the Olympic Games to Chicago.
But even if he prevails legally, which he probably will not, the public has already made up its mind.
The concept is simple: Why try to hide something, if there is nothing to hide.
It’s very much like what a judge once said about an accused invoking 5th Amendment protections in court:
“1: The person exercising their rights under the 5th Amendment has the absolute Constitutional right to do so.
2: The jury will be instructed as to that right and told that they must not, in any way, hold the exercising of that right against the person doing so.
3: Back in the jury room, regardless of the instruction shown in #2, most jury members thinking someone “taking the 5th” is guilty as hell, otherwise, why not answer the questions?!?!”
So it it with Obama. Regardless of whether or not the claim of Executive Privilege is upheld, most Americans already think Obama has something to hide.
That means he has already lost.

Obama knows that by invoking EP, he’s in the clear because congress has shown again and again that they will refuse to hold him accountable.

Same tomorrow if Obamacare is struck down, he will “deem” the decision invalid and I wouldn’t be surprised if he surrounds the Supreme Court with armed federal agents - why? - because he can.
There is ABSOLUTELY no question in my mind that Obama knew of F&F and is up to his eyeballs in it. I think he underestimated the vigilance of Issa and now he’s been backed into a corner which is why he executed the EP.
Issa has a source or sources someplace in the Justice Department. Holder and Obama do not know what information has been given to Issa. They have a problem.
Sorry to go off topic, but to carry it a bit further, let me play the devils advocate - the congress and the Supreme Court have shown that they are incapacitated with partisanship, the three branches of government have been so poisoned against the will of the American People, it is now up to Obama to step up to the plate and take transitional power (until a new government can be created) as envisioned by the founders - ( it is the right of the people to throw off that government which has been found illegitimate or defective) (pp)

Heh, yes, I’ve come to the same conclusion! At least half of the electorate are idiots! I don’t mean that in a derogatory sense but in a real world sense. They simply are idiots!
That means that Republicans have to get at least 10% or so of the idiot vote. It seems to get harder and more difficult with Democratic Presidents (handing out gifts are their forte).
This is the reason that you can NOT take any election for granted. The idiots do seem to come out for democrats that promise money, hope, change, and anything else that they can come up with.
So, the message is don’t take anything for granted. The electorate is too stupid to actually vote for better government but they will vote for better and more handouts.
Damn, it’s really a shame that voting has come to this (even including the illegal votes)! America is in real trouble!

If the Liberal Media wasn’t behind it, would Watergate have been such a big deal? Without Media support Obama could shoot Mitt Romney on TV and get away with it. They love the guy and will fall on their sword for him. Sadly, he isn’t worthy of there loyalty or trust.
I wonder if Obama won't help Arizona because he's afraid that Fast And Furious guns will eventually be found combing back across the border with an illegal alien. It's just a matter of time.
He doesn't want to step up illegal immigration enforcement because if they find a gun, everything would begin to unravel. He's using immigration as an excuse to look the other way on everything else.

Not necessarily. It could be someone in the Obama administration with a demonstrated ability to obtain sensitive information, to include classifuied FBI files.

Especially if there's a victim or victims who's not a federal law enforcement officer and the feds can't control the investigation. And it's even worse if it's in Arizona, and worse yet if Sheriff Joe Arpaio is involved in the investigation.
