German Court Makes Circumcision for Religious Reasons a Crime

A German court has ruled that circumcising male infants for religious reasons, as Jews in particular have done for thousands of years, constitutes grievous bodily harm and is a crime, regardless of parental consent.

A public health specialist who is also a traditional Jewish circumciser called the ruling “stupid,” suggesting Wednesday that while “politically-correct modern liberal thinkers” would not be open to persuasion about Jewish values, they should at least consider studies finding wide-ranging health benefits from the procedure.

In a ruling bound to fuel a long-running debate over circumcision, a regional court in Cologne said Tuesday that the “fundamental right of the child to bodily integrity outweighed the fundamental rights of the parents.”

“A child’s body is irreparably and permanently changed by a circumcision,” German media outlets quoted the ruling as saying. “This change contravenes the interests of the child to decide later about his own religious affiliation.”

“The religious freedom of the parents and their right to educate their child would not be unacceptably compromised, if they were obliged to wait until the child could himself decide to be circumcised,” it said.

For Jews, however, circumcision of baby boys at eight days has been a key tenet of faith for some 4,000 years. Prescribed by God in Genesis 17, it symbolized that a person was in covenant with his Creator. …

The head of Germany’s Jewish Central Committee, Dieter Graumann, called the ruling an “outrageous and insensitive act.” …

Ummmmm, Christians also circumcise their infants, too. Germany

Actually the USA is about the only place in the world where large numbers of Christians circumcise infants. In Europe, Gentiles do not (and never have) circumcised. One reason why identifying Jewish men 70+ years ago there was very easy.

I do not know what Muslim practice is, does anyone know?

Way to make Germany Judenrein again. Why didn’t Hitler think of this?

So doctors need to perform circumcisions on boys in utero, and then this gal would be fine with it?

Seems to vary with Muslims. I read that some Hadiths cite circumcision on the seventh day after birth (which is one day earlier than Jews), and some at age 14 (most likely derived from Ishmael, who was circumcised at age 13).

If they had gotten the bomb back then, they might have made the world Menschenrein.

I trust that they have also outlawed parents having their children’s ears pierced or body tattooed before the child reaches legal age of consent, based on the same reasoning?

Abortion must be illegal in a nation so concerned with the welfare of children, right?

They will be. Muslims will go on a rampage the moment the first one is arrested for this.

Ishmael was circumcized at 14 or whatever it was.

Arabs have done so ever since, muslim or no.

“Perhaps Jews are not welcome in Germany...”

Too true, but the bright side is that the Euro-trash socialists replaced the Jews killed during WW II with lots of Muslims.

Wait until MadMo’s drooling followers hear that the kufer Eurotrash have banned circumcision. Let the riots and ‘neck cuttings begin”

Nope, this case came to the German court as the result of a circumcision performed on an infant belonging to Muslim parents.

So, we need to invent a procedure to circumcise the kid while he is still in the birth canal. That way, it’s the mother’s choice!

I’m sure she’s perfectly fine with the people walking around without arms or legs because they were cut off in a failed abortion...

I wonder if she thinks a child who survived a late abortion should be given back into custody of the mother who tried to abort the child. The child is beyond the cervix so has some rights at that point (according to her logic); would this gal see any safety issues in the child being under the sole care of someone who tried to kill him just a short time ago?

I could see banning those - and particularly if done against the girl’s will. It’s a totally different situation than male circumcision though, because FGM would make it painful for a woman to have sex, for the rest of her life. It serves no medical purpose and it only harms. It harms the woman because it steals one of the few joys of life that a Muslim woman would otherwise be allowed to have, and it harms her husband because he never gets to know what it’s like to be a REAL man, whose joy is to please and serve another rather than simply use her as an inflate-a-doll.

But that’s the difference between the Lord and the demon the Muslims worship: the Lord gives abundant life, whereas the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.

Thanks for the info. I sense trouble afoot.

I think any Jew who would purposely live in Germany, or anywhere in Europe for that metter, is crazy. But then, there are a lot of crazy, i.e., lefty, Jews in this country too.
