In between raking in millions of dollars for his election, and golfing this smug ass is now going to pretend like he gives a damn about the hundreds of people who have lost their homes.

He sucks.

What they really need is to have Gore schedule a global warming emergency speech in Boulder. The heat wave would be certain to break.

Colorado has another forest fire burning in an area immediately north of Grand Junction. This one just cranked up in the last couple of hours ... smoke is visible over the Bookcliffs that run east-west just north of GJ.

I bet it grounds all the tanker flights due to AirFarce Zero being in the air. What a dipsh*t he is!

In fact, he’s auctioning off the opportunity to fly on the plan with him to gullible supporters. /sarcasm

Sorry to threadjack, however, does anyone know where Obama is today? Hubby just got home and was telling me that the rumor is that he is going to visit the Joliet Cat plant to rub elbows with the striking union workers. I thought it was unlikely, but he does need to shore up his standing with the unions, so I suppose it is possible.

apologoze for the language in advance, but I am looking at the Waldo smoke cloud...

Obama’s environazi allies set the conditions for this fire by refusing to allow roads that might “hurt the forest”

then his fool minions cancelled the normal contract for aerial tankers with a private company

Mr President - STAY THE HELL OUT OF COLORADO!!

Hate to say this but this fire is because conditions are so extremely dry that everything that usually never burns is burning. This has nothing to do with lack of controlled burns, roads, logging, nothing except 6% average humidity and no rain and very little snow this past winter. It is simply because everything is dry.

As far as tankers, we’ve got tankers, lots and lots of tankers. In fact, the skies are busy with tankers. We even have thousands of firefighters. As the governor said, Colorado is getting everything they ask for and more but things are simply so dry that every breeze pushes the fire further out.

I’ve lived here for 25 years and have never seen this dry of conditions.

I was gonna ask, not to belittle in any way this terrible (and ongoing) tragedy, but wouldn’t Waldo Canyon be really hard to find?

For those who live in Colorado Springs or who have loved ones there, here is a picture of the Mountain Shadows neighborhood showing which houses are still standing and which are gone.

sorry - I throw the BS flag. Have you seen them scramble to bulldoze a road thru the forest by greem mountain falls? This is the type of action that should have been done years ago but was fought by the envirowacks.

You are correct - it is dry. Howwever, the answer is to cut the dead tress, particularly the beetle kill in the NW part of the state, before the burn and destroy the topsoil. Give the wood away to the pellet manufacturers and let them take care of the problem pro actively.

A road? You think a road would stop that fire? I call BS that you know forest fires. They jumps roads like I jump a crack in the sidewalk. Also, there is very little beetlekill in these fire areas. We’re talking green trees so dry they are blow torches when caught on fire.

I sat and WACTHED the fire run down a near vertical mountain face and burn hundreds of homes. Watched it. No enviro-weenie stopped us from doing anything that could have protected those homes. At some point you have to stop blaming everyone else for mother nature. Liberals blame humans for everything but then so are you.
