Woe to the city of oppressors, rebellious and defiled! She obeys no one, she accepts no correction. She does not trust in the Lord, she does not draw near to her God. Her officials are roaring lions, her rulers are evening wolves, who leave nothing for the morning . . . the unrighteous know no shame..... Zephaniah 3:1-5

Even if it is repealed, we still have a SC decision that states that the federal government has the power to FORCE you to do anything it wants as long as they call the penalty for non-compliance a tax.

Then what ?

The legal precedent remains.

The Federal Govt. can do anything and everything , it can even force you to buy goods and services under penalty of law. You may enjoy a brief respite but the weapons to punish remain to be used any time.

You are not mandated to drive 55 mph. It’s only a suggestion but you’ll be taxed more the faster you drive over the “suggestion”. Feel better? I don’t.

The Commerce Clause is a juggernaut. Raich v. Gonzales saw to that. And anyway, a Federal Government powerful enough to tell you that you CAN’T buy something is certainly powerful enough to tell you that you HAVE to buy something.
