The U.S. Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of President Obamas healthcare law Thursday, ruling the government may impose tax penalties on persons who do not have health insurance.

Can they tax you for not having a bicycle, a blender or a subscription to the NYT?
They can now! Well, they can't outright legislate that you purchase these items. That would be "unconstitutional." But what they can do is confiscate your property through punitive taxation if you "choose" not to purchase these things, because Congress' power to tax is unlimited. And I'm sure this is exactly what the authors of the Constitution intended. /s

If it prove to be inadequate of course I will switch to Affordable Bicycles Act equipment.
