Did anybody here watch it live? Jeff Toobin tweeted that Roberts was red-eyed and unhappy as he read. My computer doesn’t handle Adobe Flash Player so I can’t do much with AV online but did anybody see or get screenshots of Roberts that would explain why Toobin tweeted that?

Roberts was in front of the DC judges in this case. Every one of them knows darn good and well that they are the protectors of the political class. Remember Clinton’s “Magnificent Seven”? They all know exactly what Roberts just went through - being threatened into covering some mighty stinky political a$$, knowing that the public sees right through you. These are the only people in the world Roberts could joke with, because they live in the toilet bowl along with him, and he and they all know it. This was a “Welcome to the Toilet Bowl” funeral of sorts, I imagine. Though I doubt any would publicly admit it.

What this tells me is that Roberts knows the country hates him now. There is NO WAY he did this to create a “legacy” for himself, and he’s just acknowledged that his “legacy” is shot to heck by this.

Two reasons why he knows this will not create a “legacy” for him: He refused to uphold the commerce clause reasoning and forced government tyranny to be called the politically-damaging word: a “tax”. So the libs will still hate him for that.

And he trampled justice by verbal word-games, so everybody but the brain-dead Constitution haters will hate him for that. Even Justice Kennedy was disgusted.

No, Roberts did not do this for the sake of popularity or “legacy”. He was threatened, and whoever threatened him succeeded at the last moment - leaving the conservative justices no time to prepare a scathing rebuttal (Scalia had apparently already used up his scathing rebuttal on AZ on Monday so methinks the threats came after that) and then let Obama know the threat was successful so Obama could announce before the decision that he would have his national gloat speech right after the decision. If the threats had not been successful Obama would not have given a speech. The fact that he decided on the same day as the decision that he would give a speech suggests to me that he didn’t know the threats were successful until sometime after Wednesday afternoon.

When were there rumors saying that Roberts was going to write the majority opinion?

Did Ginsburg write anything? What ended up being the dissent referred to Ginsburg’s writing as the dissent. Did Ginsburg end up writing her own dissent? If not, then what happened to what she wrote? Did Roberts just put his name on it? I was reading Roberts’ decision last night but I just get so sick to my stomach reading that kind of crap, that I just couldn’t finish it.

I’ve come to the conclusion it just doesn’t matter how you vote on the 300 little decisions, if you can’t be trusted on the big few.

Maybe his “impregnable fortress” is a bath house. There is little worry about finding anyone of decency THERE.

Yes, but not until Romney is sworn into office.

The country has lost confidence in Roberts' judgment.

Congress has exempted themselves from this equal justice.

Not just Congress, but connected lobbying interests, muslims, and Amish as well.

There are two AmeriKKKas now, thanks to Barack Hussein Obama. Those who give and those who take.

It sets up an unconstitutional requirement on SOME but not ALL Americans. Why not have a hetero-potential-breeder tax as well, Barry? Your friends in the lavender mafia would like to see it.

There are some celebrating this (it certainly isn't a RIGHT, you could always BUY healthcare, now you are REQUIRED to buy it, that is how you are now covered... requiring people to buy car insurance to license a car didn't lower the rates here... why did our little socialist bastard boy refuse to put some tort reform into the medical overhaul?), anyway some are celebrating this JUST BECAUSE it p!sses off other Americans. Those people would cut off their nose, ears, and limbs to spite their face. Liberalism is a mental disorder.

PS- he can run away and hide but he knows what he did. He can’t run away from himself. I believe Hussein’s thugs have something over unjustice Roberts. His first act of treason was swearing in a man who shouted from the rooftops that his father was a foreinger. Hello...ineligible! Act 2 was yesterday. They have something on him. This is how Hussein gets what he wants. Could be the Drudge story about blackmailing over Robert’s adoption of 2 kids. They’ve got him. He should not have sacrificed the country no matter what they have on him. Now we have someone else’s grave to go piss on. Add it to the list. Hussein gets #1 and 2. Oh, is that too far, too rude? HA! They’ve destoyed our country. Being polite is a weakness that they’ve exploited for decades.

We have traitors and Patriots now. No middle ground. No gray. No rules. Just Victory in November and here on out. If not, where the hell do we go? We fight, and we win. I joined the fight to get the republican nominee elected yesterday. I don’t mean with my vote alone, but as of yesterday with my money. http://www.mittromney.com/ This is one step in getting back our country. He is my 4th or 5th choice, yet he IS the choice we have. I am all in now. That’s what Roberts did yesterday. Live Free Or Die. It’s not some old saying, it’s real now.

Jokes?!? The only joke here is the one he’s made of the Constitution. Roberts needs to step down immediately.

The first that I’d heard that Chief Kangaroo Roberts would be writing the decision was on Wednesday. He proved himself to be of little more value than sewage seeping onto the original copy of the Constitution. Bob

Ginsburg wrote her own opinion. In it she referred to Massachussetts' health care law, as if innoculating Obama against this ruling as an election year issue. An unusally political thing for a SCOTUS justice to write.

Considering his motives, I think we're far better off just considering Roberts an activist jurist from now on, just like Kagan, Sotomayor, etc. Because for all practical purposes thats what he has shown himself to be.

Obama won his senatorial race by intimidation, that history is well known. Frankly I believe, Justice Roberts, having voted on constitutional questions twice before and trouncing the Constitution...I believe John Roberts, a bright man, is not a conservative American at all...he is a Progressive judge.

Do you really think he cares?

He is not even subjected to Obamacare — he, his fellow SC judges, the prez and congresscritters have established that they are all above the law.
