President Barack Obama’s big win with the Supreme Court could come back to bite him at the election, political guru Dick Morris told Newsmax within minutes of the court decision being announced.

Now that the only way to get rid of Obama’s healthcare overhaul is via the ballot box, it could persuade more people to turn out and vote against him in November, Morris said in an exclusive interview.

I Agree! At first I was very disappointed with Justice Roberts vote on this issue. But the way he phrased his decision, this act will cause Democrats a huge headache going forward even IF it does not get repealed early 2013. (I am hoping for a repeal - this would for the ENTIRE Act and not just "mandate" idiocy..)

Democrats can now force us to buy/do anything and tax us as much as they wish. We lose.

The Republicans have themselves in part to blame for this whole debacle. If they had stuck to their conservative principles they wouldn’t have damaged their own brand so much. All that time in power and they didn’t cut a single government cabinet. They didn’t even try to shrink government. Instead they waded into things like the whole Teri Schiavo mess, tolerating Duke Cunningham, and creating the TSA.

If it were only democrats that would take advantage of a precedent allowing the government to levy taxes willy nilly the problem would easy to solve.

This falls into the: "the other guy has punched me so much, he's really gonna be tired - and then he will be in trouble!" category.

“The Republicans have themselves in part to blame for this whole debacle.”

Sorry, but the operative word should be completely! We are where we are today thanks to GWB, his worthless father, and the Establishment GOP. Never in my lifetime have I witnessed the throwing away of the grand opportunity to put the RAT party away for a couple of generations. Instead, the all too smug RINOs decided to try their own brand of “buying” the voters while they piled up the bills for the nonsensical war in the ME. There was just no justification for Bush going to Iraq ( other than to get Saddam for trying to off his father). The idea that he could countenance the losses of our fine young people to satisfy this revenge is beyond the pale. At the end of the day GWB was a sorry excuse for a president and the people have yet to forget that fact.

I’ve been thinking through the excrement of yesterday’s decision and this is the only little pony I could find as well.

Vote in November or forever hold your peace.

W’s Father was the first I ever heard utter “New World Order”.

I am SICK of voting for the lessers. Of course I’ll hold my nose and vote for Willard though.

Roberts tied an anchor around Obama’s neck and shoved him off the dock. He’s snail food.

Sad to say that just means we’ll be swearing in a new President in a country whose constitution was just shredded.

The answer seems to be the states calling a Constitutional Convention (as provided for in the Constitution) to adopt amendments restricting the federal government. For example define the commerce clause. Return issues such as gun control, abortion, health care, and education to the states exclusively. Require a balanced budget.

November is the last chance for the country. All those people who gave their lives for freedom was for what?

Yeah, Willard is just the latest of the shit sandwiches served up by the Republican “leadership.” This is it for me! If Willard turns out to be GWB II, I will leave the GOP for good and work to find some alternative that can replace these a$$holes.

I’ve considered this thoroughly.

As Rush said today, the only reason people think Roberts is brilliant is simply because they didn’t anticipate Robert’s reasoning.

If you can get past that, you begin to realize that Roberts was acting as an activist judge. He has re-written bad law, has neutered the Anti-Injunction Act, and is calling this a penalty and a tax at the same time.

I’ve come to the conclusion the Roberts has taken an enormous unnecessary risk with the future of the United States.
