LOL that was rhetorical right?

I just realized the unintended double meaning of my post.

It just makes it that more appropriate.

The people of Massachusetts NEVER voted for either
RomneyMARRIAGE or ROMNEYcare-ObamaCARE.

It went like this, led by Mr. ROmneyCARE and the FELON and the SWIMMER.
Note that Mr. RomneyCARE is to the LEFT of Ted Kennedy:

BEHOLD MR.ROMNEYCARE IMPOSING OBAMACARE AND RomneyDEATHPANELS.

It would be very interesting to see what a Mass. referendum would do for those things, and I encourage the people of Mass. to try to shuck them off now that they see what it means. I believe that gay marriage has never survived a referendum in any state to date.

However, Romneycare could not have gotten anywhere without the representative legislative vote. Gay marriage was a bow to the court — which was cowardly, but what do you expect of a political pleaser. (After all he had no way to buck the court.)

I’m having computer issues, so I can’t access the “search” function; but, yes, I can give you a name off the top of my head: PSYCHO-FREEP. As I recall (and which I noted and posted about at the time) the vast majority of the articles that he posted were posted to show Rick Santorum in the worst possible light and to help out Romney. As I said, I can’t access the search function right now, but I remember him saying at one point, in defending his actions, something like “I did what I had to do.”

He wasn’t the only one. But, you wanted a name, I give you a name. But there were others.

HiTech RedNeck: After all he had no way to buck the court.

You are mistaken.
Mr. ROMNEYCARE imposed his plans by his FIAT alone. ALONE.

Note Mr. RomneyCARE’s use of improper executive authority.

"Experts: Credit Romney for homosexual marriage"
"What he (Governor Bishop Mitt Romney) did was exercise illegal legislative authority'

"While former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney claims he did everything possible to throttle homosexual marriage in his state – his campaign now saying he took "every conceivable step within the law to defend traditional marriage" – several constitutional experts say that just isn't so.

"What Romney did [was] he exercised illegal legislative authority," Herb Titus said of the governor's actions after the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court released its opinion in the Goodridge case in 2003. "He was bound by what? There was no order. There wasn't even any order to the Department of Public Health to do anything."

Titus, a Harvard law graduate, was founding dean of Pat Robertson's Regent University Law School. He also worked with former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore, ...

Romney's aides have told WND that after four of the seven court members reinterpreted the definition of marriage, he believed he had no choice but to direct clerks and others to change state marriage forms and begin registering same-sex couples.

Some opponents contend that with those actions, Romney did no more or less than create the first homosexual marriages recognized in the nation. And Titus agrees."

"....But the court's decision conflicts with the constitutional philosophy of three co-equal branches of government: executive, legislative and judicial, Titus said. It also violates with the Massachusetts Constitution, which states: "The power of suspending the laws, or (suspending) the execution of the laws, ought never to be exercised but by the legislature..."

And it cannot even be derived from the opinion itself, asserts the pro-family activist group Mass Resistance, which says the decision did four things:

* First, it acknowledged that the current law does not permit same-sex marriage.

"The only reasonable explanation is that the Legislature did not intend that same-sex couples be licensed to marry. We conclude, as did the judge, that G.L. c. 207 may not be construed to permit same-sex couples to marry."

* Second, it said it is NOT striking down the marriage laws (among other things, the Massachusetts Constitution forbids a court to change laws)

"Here, no one argues that striking down the marriage laws is an appropriate form of relief."

* Third, it declared that not allowing same-sex marriages is a violation of the Massachusetts Constitution.

"We declare that barring an individual from the protections, benefits, and obligations of civil marriage solely because that person would marry a person of the same sex violates the Massachusetts Constitution."

* And fourth, given that the court is not changing any laws, the SJC gave the Legislature 180 days to "take such action as it may deem appropriate."

"We vacate the summary judgment for the department. We remand this case to the Superior Court for entry of judgment consistent with this opinion. Entry of judgment shall be stayed for 180 days to permit the Legislature to take such action as it may deem appropriate in light of this opinion."

After the Legislature did nothing during the 180 days, Romney then took action "on his own," the group said.

"Gov. Romney's legal counsel issued a directive to the Justices of the Peace that they must perform same-sex marriages when requested or 'face personal liability' or be fired," the group said."

Yeah, he was p*ssy whipped by the court.

He could have just sat and ate popcorn waiting for the court to issue its contempt rulings and seeing to whom they would be issued.

Shame on that legislature too for not saying to the court “you order us to put that in our code, something no state court has ever done before? OK, we impeach you.”

You are disingenuous.

Mr. RomneyCARE was NOT pussy whipped, but he
is a cowardly pussy except against women,
and especially conservative women.

FACT: Mr. ROMNEYCARE OVERRODE THE MASS. CONSTITUTION.

That is of no concern to you, of course.

Who is slobbering over Romney?

If there was even a snowballs chance in Hell that Romney would be replaced at the Convention with a Conservative Candidate, there would be a groundswell of support for it among the mystical fabled “Romneybots” here at FR.

Alas, reality is a bitch. You go with the cards you are dealt and we Conservatives were dealt a bad hand. You don't get a new deal because you're unhappy with the Dealer for what he gave you. You play or fold.

As it stands now, FR looks to be about 50/50, play or fold.

The Republican Primary Voters were essentially the Dealer. You obviously didn't do enough during the Primaries to convince enough people that your person of choice was the right person for them to support. You failed, I failed and a whole lot of other Conservatives obviously failed as well.

We are left with either trying to win the Pot or giving away what we already invested into it. You choose to walk away, others here understand the stakes of another Obama Term.

There was no joy or spiking the ball among us FReepers because the Republican Voters chose Romney, but even his Competitors, the same Conservatives we all Voted for, have gone on to support his Candidacy against the Worst President of our lifetimes.

>”IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO KICK ROMNEY TO THE CURB. WE HAVE NOT HAD THE CONVENTION YET. DO IT BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”<

That sounds like a great idea, but if it doesn't come to fruition, then what? Like an Old Navy Chief told me years ago, “wish in one hand and spit in the other and see which hand fills up first”. I'll hold out for your proclamation, but I'm not holding my breath.

I appreciate your response. Nobody else that made the same accusations was willing to step up, which made me even more suspect about their proclamations.

I will take a look at the Postings as I promised. I may owe you a dollar, the same bet I made with the others that weren’t so willing to back up their claims. #;^)

I will be copying PSYCHO-FREEP on this Post as a courtesy.

I’ve regained some use of my computer again. Clicking on his screen name yields “This account has been banned or suspended.”

He was probably the most prolific poster on the political threads during the primary. He was subtle at first, but apparently not subtle enough.

Thanks for your response. Good night.

Then I will vote for Romney, but until November, I am complaining that as a collective WE suck. I am one of those old Chiefs....I guess “my brother” is smarter than I am....lol.

HiTech RedNeck" Your dragging both issues into a discussion about one tells me a lot about YOU."

The fact that you care there are two issues
demonstrates you are a RomneyBOT.
The fact that you defend both (THAT Mr. ROMNEYCARE
is the original AUTHOR of) shows that you are
attempting to trick and to fool conservatives.

one can always tell a RomneyBOT by their
backstabbing at all hours of the day, without
a gram of reason -— EXCEPT they are on their
knees MILITANTLY for their Bishop, Willard Romney.

Amen to that. I do NOT VOTE FOR RINOS. We know what damage Snowe, Graham, Collins, Specter and Romney have done, yet ignore it for the ABO syndrome gopee koolaide that the lesser of 2 evils is better than a bigger evil..in the end all you did was slow the 1st evil down. And before long you get creeping Socialism leading to Marxism. All for the 'good' of the few who are the elite ruling class making themselves rich off the sweat of our work.

It is not what these brave Hero's died for, they died for FREEDOM and a REPUBLIC, not another russia, cuba, or another dictator.

Tennessee has it’s own brand of socialized medicine....that replaces Medicaid and it has been down sized 3 times for nearly bankrupting the state since it’s inception...and will go through a 4th here very shortly.

IF you owned your own home a car and had more than $2,000 in the bank and could not work, they turned you down even if you were ‘high’ risk health wise. Culling the sick...death panels if you want to call it that.

Now it is chock full of ILLEGAL INVADERS while Granny is trying to scrape by on her RATIONED Medicare.
