Great post Gail:) I am no longer a republican. Constitution and Tea Parties are the way I go now. After witnessing the tremendous and historical change made in Wisconsin by Walker and the Tea Party folks..I have hope.
There's two positive things about Romney.
1. The jerks I mentioned will be gone.
2. Bought time until someone better gets nominated.
In the meantime, we need to concentrate our efforts downticket so there's a better farm club. Most of the better picks for POTUS still need experience in governors mansions. When the last four standing are Romney, Santorum, Paul, and Newt, the bench is rather thin.
I’ve gone from refusal to vote Romney to begrudging vote where I need a shower afterward. Obama pissed me off that much. I’ll be enthusiastic about downticket.
I detest Romney but I would rather stand before God to explain why I voted for him than to stand before God and explain why I didn’t vote and helped Obama be elected. My main focus right now is to get Obama out. If that means getting Romney in then so be it. Nobody is worse than Obama. Close maybe, but not worse.
If rump-ranging posing as "marriage" simply MUST be rammed down the public's throat;
If the Roman Catholic and each and every other pro-life church simply MUST be persecuted into submission to a false god in the White House;
If guns simply MUST be grabbed;
If serial lying simply MUST continue to be the basic tactic of the White House after this November's serial lying World Series;
Then let the baby slaughter, the faggot coddling, the religious persecution, the gun grabbing; and the serial lying be done by the Demonrats while actual conservatives (the actual Republicans) regroup, re-organize, systematically annihilate the spineless Romney love slaves and other RINOs, deepen their principled hatred of all things Demonrat, and make the GOP once more a party for respectable and moral people and decapitate the Demonrats in future elections rather than becoming what the Demonrats already are by electing Myth Romney as the final solution to what remains of conservatism in the GOP.
If Myth Romney DOES manage to be elected, it will then be necessary to utterly destroy the imposter party posing as the GOP. Let's save ourselves the trouble and destroy Romney now. If Romney were honest (something not possible with his familial DNA) he would certainly have a D after his name too.

2. Did Romney NOT persecute the Roman Catholic Church and every other pro-life church by making them fund abortion (among a substantial menu of other atrocities under ROMNEYCARE??? Prove it!
3. Is Romney not the governor of Taxachusetts who crammed faggotry posing as "marriage" down the throats of the Massachusetts public in SPITE of a Supreme Judicial Court opinion which simply ruled irrationally that faggotry posing as "marriage" was some sort of "civil right" under John Adams' ancient state constitution??? Prove it!
4. Did Romney not enact or expand the "assault weapons" ban??? Prove it!
5. Do you actually suggest that the lifelong leftist lying POS Myth Romney is NOT a lying POS? Prove it!
If your answer to any of 1-5 is at all favorable to the hilarious notion that Romney is somehow on the conservative side of ANY of those questions (and many more could be asked with equal confidence), PROVE IT IN DETAIL.

It should also be noted that Romney, the grandfather of ObamaCare, promised to replace Obamacare once he repealed it. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to predict what he'd replace it with.
ABOers, please reflect seriously on the real-world consequences of a Romney landslide. You are on the verge of voting for Romney in order to vote "against" Obama, but in the end, your vote "against" Obama will still be FOR Romney's progressivism, and your vote will absolutely be perceived as your sanction and approval of it. If Romney gets a landslide, he and moderates would crow that it was proof that Americans were begging for his "progressive" philosophy, and the numbers would back them up. What you intend to vote "against" won't mean a damned thing.
Obama is held in very low regard by many who voted for him last time. Reading of the signs says many will either vote third party or skip voting altogether; his chances of a majority win are virtually nil. That is an opportunity that is a gift from God with regard to voting third party. I will be voting FOR weakening the victory of whichever pusher of government tyranny wins, Romney or Obama, and I will do that by voting for an official on-the-ballot third party candidate -- no write-in for me because I know there will be people on either side of the political aisle itching to invalidate my ballot on the slightest pretense.
My third party vote will be very far from symbolic -- it will be a tangible item that will work toward splitting the vote and forcing a plurality in the popular vote. The lower the support among voters for whichever guy wins, the more weight and strength conservatives will have in fighting his agenda, and that includes Obama, who is not an Oz with superpowers, but a mere mortal man, though ABO hysteria has frightened folks into temporarily blindness to that truth. Conservatives would have a much harder time fighting Romney's liberal agenda than they would fighting Obama's.
ABOers, wake up and start thinking less about what you intend to vote "against" and understand exactly what you are on the verge of voting FOR. A vote for Romney, no matter how you spin it, is a vote to make liberalism more powerful in both parties. Risking a landslide for that is MUCH more dangerous than risking an Obama plurality win.
