Santorum to social conservatives: Romney's message is 'right on'
CNN ^ | June 16, 2012 | Gregory Wallace and Martina Stewart

Former GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum gave a signal to social conservatives on Saturday: Mitt Romney's "message is sound. It's solid."

On Saturday, Santorum's praise was warm.

"The concern I had - I did, I was very frank about it - was that Governor Romney would track to the middle as so many Republican candidates have done, but I'm not seeing that," Santorum said. "I'm seeing him stand by those convictions that he articulated in the primaries and I'm hopeful."

gads, my friend I am completely disgusted with Romney, but I am powerless to do anything, I am just a poor defeated mother of teens hoping there will be some actual MEN in this country that will stand up and grow a spine

“The Republican Convention can select a candidate.”

And if you think that will not be Romney, you are further detached from reality, than I thought...

The overwhelming majority of conservatives will vote for Romney because they believe the alternative is worse. Some won’t, but they’re going to be a small minority.

After the cheating that took place in the Virginia primary the state Republican committee took a very negative view toward holding another primary and has opted for using a "convention" to select the Gubernatorial nominee next year.

It is entirely possible that Romney does not have any real heart felt support among convention delegates.

It's obvious that neither he nor his supporters are trustworthy people.

Well, in my dreams Sarah Palin would march in there and pipe up “Hey Guys I’m back in the race!” And Mitt would swoon before her charm and say “Fellows, she’s the gal. Draft her.” And out the door comes a Palin/Mitt ticket. GOP polls climb to 70% approval. Obama loses a 50 state landslide. The Senate becomes 67-33 GOP, not only filibuster proof but supermajority. The House has 400 Republicans in it. Barack Obama and Joe Biden both have fatal heart attacks on the same day, and Boehner finishes out Obama’s term.

Now I wake up. It’s Mitt Romney vs. Barack Obama.

Conservatives have just stayed home twice and the hapless GOP-e candidate lost big time.

Do you people get some sort of sexual thrill out of holding elections without the voters behind your candidates?

Santorum was an enthusiastic Romney man in 2008 and Arlen Specter in 2004 and Arlen Specter for President in 1996, and he was an anti-Reagan and pro-abortion republican before running for office himself in 1990.

We knew where his head is at.

Let me put it this way, it ain't over 'til it's over, and in politics that just starts the next campaign.

A win for Romney is a second term for Obama.

You end up with two of these pukes, not just one!

Still delusional, I see.

I see, so you’re just working to make sure barry gets that last four years to do his ‘thing’. Appreciate you clarifying that.

I am not getting your drift, perhaps because I am too dense, are you saying that if Romney wins, Obama will run the next time?

Aruanan, your boy is simply not the right candidate for this stage of history. Maybe in another incarnation ~ a very long time from now.

We have hundreds of Republicans who are capable of dealing with this job. Romney is not among their number.

So, will Milt Rominy select Rick as his running mate and give God a chance to place Rick at the helm?

There is no difference between Obama and Romney. They are identical politically and in their real attitudes towards this country.

You people are throwing away your votes with Romney.

‘Now I wake up. It’s Mitt Romney vs. Barack Obama.’

Yes, dreams are nice, but we live in reality. And that’s the choice we have. It is obvious that Palin may not be wildly enthusiastic about Romney, but she clearly understand the danger Obama is to our freedom.

Palin: ‘ObamaCare’ a harbinger of things to come, if Obama is re-elected...won’t recognize country

I dont believe your guy will win.The elites want Obumer in another 4 years.I cant believe you dont see that.Coming on FR and telling conservatives that a big gubmint republicrat is supporting romney doesnt mean a whole lot to us.I will be voting Constitution Party this election and from now on.I dont vote for liberals from either party.
