....Under the health care law, by 2014, states must implement a health insurance exchange, or a Web-based marketplace where people can shop for insurance, or defer to a federal program. States need to submit plans to the federal government by Nov. 16 that demonstrate their readiness to launch health exchanges.
....."We care about having a health care safety net for the vulnerable Floridians," Scott said on Fox. "But this is an expansion that just doesn't make any sense."
....."Hopefully we won't have to worry about it because by November we're going to have a new president-elect who is going to repeal it," Scott press secretary Lane Wright said.
The White House was asked for comment Saturday but declined.
Scott said other Republican governors agreed their focus should be fighting the law and supporting Romney, including Rick Perry of Texas, Bobby Jindal of Louisiana and Scott Walker of Wisconsin.
"Here in Louisiana, look, we refused to set up the exchange. We're not going to start implementing Obamacare," Jindal told POLITICO. "We have not applied for the grants, we have not accepted many of these dollars, we are not implementing the exchanges, we don't think it makes any sense to implement Obamacare in Louisiana."
Scott said the governors arrived at the same conclusion that expanding Medicaid and creating exchanges are not good for taxpayers.
"We care about the citizens of our state," he said. "We know this will be bad for our health care. We want jobs in our state. This is going to put American businesses at an unbelievable disadvantage as compared to businesses around the world."...........

Hope they don’t waiver.
Gov. Rick Perry today released the following statement regarding the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on the federal health care reform bill:
“This ruling will be a stomach punch to the American economy. It is a shocking disappointment to freedom-loving Americans desperate to get our country back on track. Obamacare is bad for the economy, bad for health care, bad for freedom. Americans have made clear their overwhelming opposition to its convoluted, burdensome and overreaching mandates.
“Freedom was frontally attacked by passage of this monstrosity - and the Court utterly failed in its duty to uphold the Constitutional limits placed on Washington. Now that the Supreme Court has abandoned us, we citizens must take action at every level of government and demand real reform, done with respect for our Constitution and our liberty.”

And the Feds will withhold highway funds until they comply.
Game over.
States have zero independence now.
.......The Wisconsin governor, who recently survived his recall election, said he is not going to implement the health care law right now.
“We’re going to wait. We said all along there was a legal step, there’s a political step and after each of those steps were exhausted we see what the future holds,” Walker said, noting that the election is crucial to the future of health care policy.
“The only chance to repeal that is to put in place a new president, a new Senate majority, and then ultimately repeal the law,” Walker said.
Walker said he “learned” from Romney’s example in Massachusetts: “In the case of Wisconsin, we learned looking at that state, Massachusetts is a good example, we learned from what we found from our actuarial assessment that we did this past year that it was not a good measure for the state of Wisconsin,” Walker said.
The governor added: “We think there’s two extremes - that the government mandate you have under ‘Obamacare’ ultimately is the only way you control health care costs not today but in the future, the ultimate way that would end up leading towards is rationing of health care. I don’t think that’s a good decision.” Walker said. “On the other end, I and plenty of other governors would like to go down the path of a free market solution that engages me and every other consumer of health care in being a more active participant in controlling our health, not just our health care costs.”.....

Add Indiana to the list. According to FOX last night there are already ten states that have told the Feds.to go to......
Good for these governors! I hope more join them.
Gov. Jindal on Supreme Court Ruling on Obamacare: Decision is a Blow to Our Freedoms
BATON ROUGE Governor Bobby Jindal released the following statement today on the Supreme Courts ruling on President Obamas health care law:
Ironically, the Supreme Court has decided to be far more honest about Obamacare than Obama was. They rightly have called it a tax. Todays decision is a blow to our freedoms. The Court should have protected our constitutional freedoms, but remember, it was the President that forced this law on us.
The American people did not want or approve of Obamacare then, and they do not now. Americans oppose it because it will decrease the quality of health care in America, raise taxes, cut Medicare, and break the bank. All of this is still true. Republicans must drive hard toward repeal, this is no time to go weak in the knees.

Sections 1311 and 1322 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act authorizes Federal subsidies to State run insurance exchanges. But due to a “massive legislative defect” created by sloppy Democrat bill writers working in haste to force this odious legislation upon America, there is NO provision for the Federal government to make essential subsidy payments to Federally established exchanges. In the absence of a State insurance exchange and with NO CONGRESSIONAL AUTHORIZATION to fund Federal exchanges, any State that REFUSES to form an exchange will effectually ensure that within its State boundaries, ObamaCare cannot be implemented!
Here’s why: ObamaCare offers “premium assistance” tax credits and Federal taxpayer dollar subsidies to households purchasing coverage through new State health insurance exchanges. Democrats knew this assistance was essential to hide much of the law’s cost and reduce the vast premium hikes Americans will face after ObamaCare goes into effect in 2014. If consumers had to directly absorb the full cost of nationalizing one sixth of our economy, the already strong support for repeal would skyrocket!
So ObamaCare authorizes premium assistance in State-run exchanges (Section 1311) but in a glaring failure, not Federal ones (Section 1321). In other words, a State refusal to create an exchange will act as a clear mechanism to block much of ObamaCare’s spending and paralyze implementation of the law. By NOT laundering Federal tax dollars (and MORE DEFICIT SPENDING) through State mechanisms, it also helps expose to the otherwise propagandized American electorate just how unaffordable ObamaCare really is!
The States can stop ObamaCare in its tracks just by refusing to establish insurance exchanges!

Its war, and war is hell.
We may have to put up with potholes to back the side opposing Obamacare.
I am fully prepared to meet it head on, game on, start the clock or rock the boat.
I bet a lot of folks are going to start whining about Federal repercussions by opposing Obamacare, whiny spineless amoebas that don;t deserve a screen name on FR.
Hmm.. And those fuel moneies that fund the HTF are collected by the States and forwarded to the Feds. Escro account til after the Election, perhaps?
BTW Indiana has sent congress a bill for the cost of illegal aliens.....

We stand with Arizona....how about you all!

This article quotes Scott and Jindal directly stating that they will NOT implement ACA in their states. I've also read Gov. Walker's statement that WI will NOT implement ACA.
This article doesn't quote Perry directly, nor can I find were Perry has stated he will NOT implement ACA in TX. I've been searching for articles - or anything - that has Perry clearly stating that he will not implement ACA in TX, but cannot find anything.
If you come across something, please ping me. Thx!
“...by November we’re going to have a new president-elect who is going to repeal it...”
-
Obama didn’t passed it and Romney can’t repeal it.
Congress (we, the people) passed it and congress (we the people) can repeal it.
What is so hard about that to understand?
I sincerely hope Alaska refuses the Obamacare mandate. Too many are seasonal workers, the rest are natives and are already exempt. Thats right, even in my family my grandaughter is half Inipiut native, they will be exempt from Obamacare as they already have their own healthcare, actually the native hospitals in Alaska are bigger and better.
Who gives a sh!t about highway funds? We have enough oil money here in Texas we could build a wall around the joint and tell Washington to stick it up their asses!
Why only 10? Should be at 30.
In Alaska we just plain don’t have any roads!
So FUBO to holding us hostage for threatening to hold back your blood money.
And Kansas.
Brownback Vows No Obamacare for Kansans "A day after the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of the Obama administrations Affordable Care Act, Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback said he had no plans to implement provisions of the health care law."....
“...And the Feds will withhold highway funds until they comply. Game over....”
The states will just tell the Feds that no federal income tax, federal fuel tax or any other federal tax will flow to them from those states but rather to the state coffers. The big oil and gas states like Texas, Louisiana and Oklamhoma will cripple em. The more states that take that stance, the quicker this crashes and burns.
If you think about it, the ball is really and truly in Rick Perry’s court right now. Moreso than I think he even realizes.
Sometimes people have their dates with destiny. Patrick Henry and Sam Houston had theirs. I think Rick Perry might, just might, be about to have his.
I have a good feeling Obama won’t wake up to a sunny bright morning full of orange juice, skittles and birds singing in the garden come monday.
Nope. instead he will get a report of a national non compliance to any demands of Obamacare from the states themselves.
It will be then become a deadly game of chess as now Obama must find a way to create enough fear to the governors, something that they will back down to.
Rick Perry posted this picture of himself campaigning with Ed Martin for Attorney General of Missouri , along with this comment,
“A fine day with Ed Martin will make a difference on Healthcare debate w/input from his bright MD wife Carol.”
Maybe Jindal can succeed. I'm in Louisiana and impressed with Jindal. They are crying like stuck pigs here saying that Jindal is cutting everything.
“Here in Louisiana, look, we refused to set up the exchange. We're not going to start implementing Obamacare,” Jindal told POLITICO. “We have not applied for the grants, we have not accepted many of these dollars, we are not implementing the exchanges, we don't think it makes any sense to implement Obamacare in Louisiana.”
The twin Marxist POS’s Roberts and Obama took our freedom away.
Also in all this we are forgetting that Obama unlawfully passed the Dream Act Amnesty by itself without Congress and after Congress had rejected the Dream Act.
Good, let all 26 states who petitioned the government to do this. Dare them to enforce this travesty!
One of the few bright spots in Roberts' treasonous opinion on ObamaCare is that is specifically prohibits punitively withholding unrelated funds from a state. The thugs in our White House will have to bully our leaders the old fashioned way and blackmail governors one by one over personal indiscretions or the safety of their families, rather than using financial blackmail.
Hopefully there will be more statements coming out of Gov. Perry’s and other governor’s offices, as well as from states’ attorney generals. The Feds no doubt are ready to pounce, throwing endless money and muscle against states who cannot print money.
“Texans are poised for war over the recent Supreme Court decision to uphold the Affordable Care Act, a.k.a. Obamacare. Texas Governor Rick Perry has already stated that his state will return to court to challenge its mandatory role in President Obamas health care mandate and Attorney General Greg Abbott mirrored Perrys sentiment, saying that Texas isnt anywhere near ready to end the fight against what is now being passed as a tax on all Americans. Even Congressman Ron Paul weighed in with his views on what this means for the future of heath care.”.....
Time for the States to secede from the union, starting with Texas. “Give me liberty or give me death”.
We can only hope that the Governors start to acquire a taste for disobedience. Can’t say I’m all that optimistic about most of them. But I reckon a few will decide that it suits them.
I am pretty sure Alabama won’t uphold the law either....our Governor Bentley called the decision disgraceful and denounced it. He was a practicing doctor so I can’t imagine him not signing on with the other GOP governors on this.

Hope they dont waiver.I don't care whether they waiver. I just hope they don't waver.
So the states refuse to send their tax receipts to Washington. Who looses? Its a (Pardon the expression) Mexican standoff.
Missouri House Votes to Nullify Obamacare

That’s amazing. Maybe you or someone can post that article? I have never posted one , nor know how to.
I wonder how many democrat state governors or legislatures are resisting against Obamacare. let me guess :ZERO. Funny that many here think it is Republicans that are the problem in America. hmm it seems all these governors forming a resistance ,rebelling against Obamacare are Republicans.
Meaningless. The statute provides that if they don’t, the Feds can and will. I’d rather the states oversee it. This is a mistake. If it is between the State or Fed doing it I choose the state.
Although some of these governors who will not implement ObamaCare will truly not implement it...Scott will back down when Obama threatens....just like he did with this George Zimmerman lynching
Scott will buckle
“And the Feds will withhold highway funds until they comply.”
Then the states can stop sending in the tax money made through gas sales.
Hmmmm.... such a difficult decision
potholes.... socialized medicine
potholes.... death panels...
potholes.... government control over every aspect of our lives leading to communist/fascist oppression... yep such a tough decision...
I know which one I choose! Go Perry! Go Jindal! Go Walker!
We may have to put up with potholes to back the side opposing Obamacare.

I can’t really say I’m a secessionist as I do not favor Virginia secession at this time. But it isn’t for me to say that other states shouldn’t. In the case of a few states, I think there is a compelling case that could be made. Both TX and LA are states that are blessed with their own coastlines, ports, abundant natural resources, and robust populations. Not to mention histories of having gone it alone.
Game on!
We have an Obama ass kissing commie governor here in Kentucky. We’re screwed.
Obama is also destroying our coal industry with the consent and assistance of our commie governor (who has been elected twice!, talk about voters with a death wish)
Obama = Democrat
Pelosi = Democrat
Harry Reid = Democrat
Barney Frank = Democrat
John Roberts = marxist

Yeah Republicans are the problem not the Marxists/democrats POS’s like Pelosi, Obama, Reid.

......................”Too many of us and too many prominent bloggers focus exclusively on the federal government and the national GOP expecting that they will find the guts to right this ship. We need to focus much more attention on our states. It would be nice if we could get more prominent conservatives to start discussing federalism and how it is a strategic advantage for conservatives.
Liberals hate federalism because it denies them the ability to impose their one-size-fits-all agenda on everyone. They cant exist in a federal system.
We can defeat the Left via a divide and conquer federalism strategy. Lets get to it!”
Michelle Bachman has talked it through with a few of her collegues and they are recommending to all the states to withhold from implement the health care laws until the election and urge all the people of the states to email or text to their state governments urging them to do so.

Yes and we just need a few fearless statesmen leaders to stand up and call their stinkin’ bluff , and to articulate clearly why they aren’t joining in, and to clear the path for free market solutions. Just a few brave men could give those with less courage the inspiration to also stand up to fedgov.
