Normally, I would agree with you but there is this (from the article): But if she consented, its really not an issue. Its critical that the defendant was in entire agreement with it.Defendants are easily coerced.

Your point is right on target but if she felt coerced, the ACLU and every other anti Christian group would be flocking to her side pro bono.
It may (just a guess) be that she really does want to clean up her life and needs some help to do it. Or she could be a total scum bag who agreed to it to get a lesser sentence.
