This is July 3rd- for every Southerner a very important date. Fired up is an understatement, this day before Independence Day. Ranging a fair amount in this post-- but like VA's finest- the fight is in me as is the focus on the loss of freedom-- and the Tyranny doing this. A Romney website is passive-- it passively reaches those who GO there. What needs to happen is a public-- energized Conservative Activism brought by the incredible loss of freedom the acceptance of this nightmare legislation and court ruling is creating. Enablers, like the corporatist branch of RINOs-- are glossing over the details and putting the TV drone population back to sleep--doing as it were what Schumer and Wasserman-Shultz tell them!

Why? Because, like everything else, corporations seek to "cost shift" to the govt. these "costs" through the tax laws (recall the actions of mine owners in health issues-- they got a whole fund setup and paid for by all taxpayers, just so they wouldn't have to pay).

True reform would be to make individual premiums individually tax deductible-- and then people will both WANT to pay for their own and also want to take it out of the hands of the corporations-a dramatic shift in the balance sheet of companies. Imagine how many JOBS would be created if this "cost" no longer had to be borne. Does any reform include removing the tax deductibility of corporate premiums for worker healthcare? This is the answer for saving small business jobs-which is being run out of business by this unholy alliance-- liberal and RINO-- of govt. mandate/tax for non activity of individuals and or corporations.

For those Freepers who do not see the next RINO steps-- see: 1.) McConnell's LOSER statements today (what a LOSER-- where is Jesse Helms' fighters?), who is apparently stating he is willing to lose in the Senate-- when the goal should be WIN--and make the Conservative case. I should add that HUMANA is based in KY as are major ethanol producers/ part of the greater corn lobby--Bob Dole RINO coalition.

2.) Ryan, and others, and Romney, with the "Replace" along with Repeal. The old "hand across the aisle" to deal-make, which will be lacerated in the media by the liberals to defend obamacare and their criminal power grab.

In view of the underemployed, and the unemployed who do not have the benefit of the corporate healthcare part payment, as they are not employed-- as things continue to get worse they will-- already are--turning to the govt. The federal subsidies are available ONLY through the "exchanges" the states have to set up. It's only a step for the feds to invade the states with this takeover-- sound familiar. ScottinVA--great to point out--blanket ALL states waivers on the exchanges could help--but WILL that happen? Seriously? Southerners have been here before on a vastly different issue- and yet the same principles. This is a TAX--a precedent of unheard of proportions that is anti-Constitutional- a tax on NOT doing something we are told we HAVE to do-- against every tenet of our basic God given freedoms. Administered by the staats polizei- the Revenue agents????!!!!! A template for control of nearly every aspect of our lives-- the food we eat, the cars we drive, the air we breathe, the water we might have going through our property or that we drink, the way we raise our children (state knows better) and indeed-- our spiritual belief in the sanctity of Life.

Think about it people. And start the revolution. The RINOs are selling us out already. This election is about removing OBAMA and his entire group of supporters for generations-- and electing a Senate of true conservatives-- not McCains. We don't, and this country- as conceived by our Founders and the greatest minds of all time- will no longer exist except as a Eurotrash outpost of sheep to be fleeced by the investor class Soros speculators.

If you can think further-- think of the war-- the Cloward Piven strategy of the whole healthcare bundle-- to eliminate private insurers, force all the unemployed onto the govt. coffers- with further debt to destroy the finances and the system. And in the vacuum created (with the help of the RINOs)-in walk the full time totalitarians (communists, socialist, marxists, neo-nazis whatever you want they'll all line up to destroy our Freedom). The template is in place and we have a choice. The whole discussion of "is it a tax or a penalty" is a DIVERSION. A court cannot rule on a TAX until it has been levied. They have loaded the dice. Freedom is the central point and a federal government that is not longer Constitutional. Deo Vindice! Sic Semper Tyrannis!

8 am-10 am Repeal Romney I mean, ObamaCare.

10am-4pm Fix the economy.

5pm Relax and have a beer.

I disagree with is part:

“with the “Replace” along with Repeal. The old “hand across the aisle” to deal-make, which will be lacerated in the media by the liberals to defend obamacare and their criminal power grab.”

No one has suggested, either implicitly or explicitly, that a replacement program be a federally mandated program. If the GOP captures all branches, then why not allow for the interstate portability of insurance which CATO and Heritage have endorsed. This is the program which Gingrich has discussed as well.

With such a small percentage of people citing health care as their main concern, he does well to avoid the hot potato.

Was there an official word from the Romney campaign concerning this? I’d like to see something official before rushing to judgement.

Mitt Romney, after giving a brief statement decrying the decision, has been virtually silent on criticizing the health care law.

Because mitt is a fag to the core. If mitt were to come out and state that he believes that the mandate is both unConstitutional and antithetical to the principles of a free people, even I would vote for him. Even knowing that he was probably lying when he said it. But he won't, and do you know why? Because he's a socialist.

FUBO! FUMR!

"Obamacare is not the only issue. When the jobs numbers come out on Friday the economy will be front and center again."

Obamacare and the economy are one in the same. It not only takes over 1/6 of the economy, but it is already doing untold permanent economic damage.

To be honest, Virgile Goode has not said anything about it. The party issued a statement, but there wasn’t anything on Goode’s website about it and statement released by him.

Don’t you understand? Mitt should be on the tv 24/7 just like Chuck Schumer, screaming his vitriol for Obamacare...THAT is what will help him.

Or not.

Damn, there is just making no one happy—Romney went out and said he was against Federally Mandated Health Care. Contrary to many FREEPers opinions, FMHC is not the same as a state mandate. See Amendment Ten.

His site is selling a t-shirt that emphasizes his committment to ending Obamacare.

Just because he isn’t doing something loud during the week of Independence Day (when many people are vacationing anyway) doesn’t mean he has abandoned his position.

Besides being about as accurate as Obama’s attack on Romney’s Outsourcing at Bain, It’s about time we recall that it’s Barack’s complete destruction of the economy that Barack’s people really don’t want to face. Getting sideshows from “the campaign” is pure crap to insure Barack gets to appoint Justices, Clinton, Holder and Ayers in his next term.
Just keep listening to the constant drone of the left.

>> He, after all, supported a mandate as governor of Massachusetts, and doesn’t want that to be considered a tax, either.

The afternoon of the infamous Roberts’ ruling, ABC radio news spent more time discussing Romney’s MA tax predicament than Obama’s deceitful representation of the legislation.

Romney’s campaign is the canoe in the whitewater rapids of Leftwing media coverage and influence.

Why vote this time around? The choices are how fast to ending the USA that I was born in and loved(past tense intended). No choice to return to what made the USA the greatest nation the human race has ever created(imperfect as it was at the time and the hope to correct those flaws in the future).

I know that. There hasn’t been a statement from him since the ruling on it, just the party.
