Waste, waste, waste for GOP
The Forum (Fargo, North Dakota) ^ | July 01, 2012, 11:30 PM | Margaret Bitz, Fargo

Rep. Rick Berg, R-N.D., along with all the state GOP candidates, scream the party slogan: All the Democrats want to do is spend, spend, spend.

We all know that when you spend money on your family, you are investing in them. Spending money on North Dakotans is an investment. That is a much more sound practice than the North Dakotan GOP’s activity was at the last legislative session: waste, waste, waste. The GOP wasted around $100,000 of the taxpayers’ money on the University of North Dakota logo issue.

Are these the people we want in the Legislature again in 2013? More waste, waste, waste, rather than spend, spend, spend?

Can I nominate this for dumbest editorial of the week?

There you have it:

  1. Any money the Democrats want to spend is "investing in our people."
  2. Any money the GOP spends in opposing them is waste.

The libtard nimrod who write editorials and the left-wing press who publish them will be working overtime until election day.

One party’s ‘spend’ is the other party’s ‘waste’, it seems.

What else would one expect from the Fargo (not gone far enough) Forum. It is the rock foundation of North Dakota Communism. They should not, however, slam Berg who is the best Democrat the Republicans have ever supported.

If Republicans wanted an issue in ND, they should work toward a “No State Income Tax” state. South Dakota has no state income tax. North Dakota now has all the $$$ from the Bakken drilling so why not?

Berg is to North Dakota politics what Romney is to national politics: Way better than what they want to replace (or in Berg's case, prevent), but about as good for conservatism as a stale jelly donut is to a nutritious lunch.

The left attacks, the GOP defends, and so the left calls funding the defense "wasteful spending," hoping to undercut GOP support and get their way.

I have no doubt that the GOP wouldn't have spent a dime on that logo project if the left had let it alone. As it was, the tribes designed the logo and prefer to keep it.

The “No State Income Tax” campaign did wonders for Tennessee a few years back,
