Washington Examiner ^

In the days since the Supreme Court decision upholding Obamacare, some Democrats and commentators in the press have suggested that Mitt Romney is declaring a “cease-fire” on the issue and will no longer make it a centerpiece of his campaign to defeat President Obama.

My estimation is that your offer is utterly insincere.

Thus, no deal.

(From Breitbart)

Fehrnstrom allowed Chuck Todd to push him off message–and re-ignited the fears that conservatives have long had about Romney’s will and ability to fight. In response, conservatives–who had just coalesced around opposition to what many now call “Obamatax”–exhort:

Mitt, start fighting, or give up and let someone else do it.

Actually, Romney gets around Romneycare by saying, and maybe even believing, that healthcare is a state issue and not to be decided by the Feds. He is correct in this assessment, whether he really believes it or not is another thing. Personally, I will vote for Romney, the alternative is too horrible to contemplate. Why anyone is still bad mouthing him is beyond my understanding. You are either for Obama or against him, there is no alternative, vote for Romney or let Bozo skate back into office.

"You explain to me how a conservative can vote for Romney without abandoning his conservative beliefs to do so and I vow right here and now to campaign HARD for Mitt Romney on FR and everywhere else."

Go ahead yam, answer the man's question.

No one slobbering on his knees in worship of the false "god" Romney will EVER be accused of being any kind of "He-Man."

Mushball worship of mushball Myth Romney doesn't fit with "He-Man." How about limp-wristed Robamney-supporting Nancy boys???? That's better and far more accurate.

I cant get mad at someone who can’t back his beliefs. I can’t get mad at someone to scared to face the facts.

When after pushing hard for Palin here on FR and my belief she would indeed run, I said I would apologize if I was wrong. I did so publicly here on FR and tooh the heat that followed.

That’s a fact Jack.

YOU blow off a direct challenge to one simple question that you SHOULD be able to answer EASILY.

Now do it or be seen as a coward who can’t back up what he claims to believe in. It’s not my words that make it so. It’s YOUR ACTIONS.

As always, Diogenesis gets my vote for doing his homework.

Doesn't matter what you say or do or say, you can all go pick one of your lying homemade boogers and sling it at me as well.....I still won't vote for Romney...ever.

I'm not voting for a Dem pretending to be an "R". Romney isn't even a blue dog..he is a full blow, east coast, big government, liberal.

Norm, it's perfectly legitimate for a Freeper or anyone else to say calmly "Honestly, Mitt Romney is too liberal for me. I can't see myself voting for him".

I myself said the same thing in 2008 re: McQueeg.

It's another thing entirely to sell out to shrieking, raving Romney Derangement Syndrome as some Freepers (not you) have done. They make this board look like a bunch of whingeing four year olds.

But we can be sure that Bambi would continue Bambicare. And we can be sure he would continue to be the worst, most divisive, most destructive president ever.

ABO. Unfortunately right now that means Romney, anyone who thinks another candidate or another vote for a 1/2 percenter "pure conservative" will help has lost their minds........

If people were honest and said “I don’t care” that would be fine. But to say that voting for a liberal is somehow OK and ‘conservative, and then claim they are conservative for doing so... that’s the logic of liberals. I can’t deal with that.

“explain to me how a conservative can vote for Romney without abandoning his conservative beliefs”

It’s easy. Just vote for Romney and don’t abandon your beliefs.

This drama that some of you keep pushing is typical of liberals so I always have to wonder if you are sincere or not.

But the bottom line is this: candidates are never perfect. My opinion of Romney is that while not perfect he’s probably more conservative than GWB. I just don’t see him offering amnesty to illegals but I could be wrong.

This is a very easy choice to make in my opinion so I always tend to think that the concern trolls are Obama infiltrators. In most cases I’m probably right but maybe not always.

What the GOP should do is trade Romney to Obama for Biden.

That way the GOP gets a relatively principled oaf (compared to Romney) to make the election even and Romney still gets what he wants - an office at the White House and a chance to be near his hero.
