Grievances Against the Federal Government

Grievances Against the Federal Government

A citizen of these United States, who honors the letter and spirit of its Constitution, hereby asserts the following grievances against the Federal Government.

Nor are these enumerated grievances the limit to its usurpations, as it dares to assert, with escalating arrogance, boundless powers of taxation and regulation under the Commerce Clause, signaling thereby an intent to tyrannize the entire scope of human life.

Let these facts be stated plainly, as a solemn record of the injustices committed by this government against Almighty God and the people of the United States, and let them be submitted to the judgment of history.

Published on this, the Fourth of July of the year of Our Lord 2012, in the two hundred and twenty sixth year of the Republic.

Yes. We do have grievances. Thank you for listing them on July 4th.

About the only thing you could have added was, “When, in the course of Human Events...”

A thing of beauty, here, Sir.

Furthermore, we the people demand that the federal government cease and desist from the oppressive actions mentioned above, or, suffer the consequences as we the people determine the penalties to be.

Whatever they expect Americans to do they won”t expect what Americans CAN do.

One has to remember their strategy has been corrupted by a twisted Islamic/Fascist/ Communistic alliance.

It has arrogated to itself powers that our Constitution has expressly reserved to the States and the People

I believe your sentence was correct, and also notice that it justifies Romneycare. Interesting.

The government we are saddled with is a criminal enterprise and should be prosecuted under RICO statutes. The chances of that happening, with the corrupt judges we have throughout the country, is nil.

We can vote in all the “Conservatives” we want’; heck, we might even clean out the Congress, but we will never clean up the government bureaucracy. We have two choices - accept our chains or regain our liberty, like our Founding Fathers did. We cannot depend on Democans or Republicrats to do our work for us.

IF SECESSION NOT BE, REVOLUTION MUST.

Congress can control the SCOTUS, if it has the will. The bolded part at the end is perhaps the least appreciated sentence in the entire Constitution.

U.S. Constitution, Article 3 Section 2:

The judicial Power shall extend to all Cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution, the Laws of the United States, and Treaties made, or which shall be made, under their Authority;--to all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls;--to all Cases of admiralty and maritime Jurisdiction;--to Controversies to which the United States shall be a Party;--to Controversies between two or more States;-- between a State and Citizens of another State,--between Citizens of different States,--between Citizens of the same State claiming Lands under Grants of different States, and between a State, or the Citizens thereof, and foreign States, Citizens or Subjects.

In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction. In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make.

"...with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make."

Enough Tea Party Patriots could lead a new Congress, and put the SCOTUS back into its box. The USA was never intended to become a tyranny of five judges. It's in the Constitution: The Congress is superior to the SCOTUS. There are NOT "three co-equal branches" as most believe.

Rep Steve King remarked that Congress could reduce the entire federal court system to John Roberts sitting at a card table with a candle.

So yes, Congress has plenty of power, but no will.

Here's a three page pdf on how to constitutionally Curb The Courts.

Thanks for the link! As with the concept of jury nullification, the first step is to make more Americans aware of the option. This might be our best route back to constitutional sanity.

LOL. Hey, if the states want to shoot themselves in the head, they are allowed. The problem is when the Feds come in and bail out failed state programs. They need to stop doing that.

Long past time to do that. As it is, the courts have been a functionary of the the legislature when they are too scared to do something that the governing class wants but the people don't. The courts need to be neutered. They are accountable to no one.
