I think that area is actually a black area of Augusta Georgia...likely both black is my guess.

maybe a local would know

I looked it up on Google Maps

older prairie bungalow style home typical down here...

yards not landscaped much, cars in front yards

don't throw a race card at me...this is the south and I know more often than not

even by satellite

it looks like older homes built between the big wars which were common down here once and inhabited originally by working class whites who were eventually displaced by blacks streaming in from the fields as the sharecropping system collapsed due to modernization of equipment and corporate nature of larger farms by the 50s or so

on occasion these neighborhoods have held up or been re-gentrified by younger upscale whites but more often than not the decay continues till it's just wasteland eventually

this doesn't look that bad though

I could be wrong but Augusta "metro" is 60% black

Jack, I grow tired of your cynicism. FYI, this innocent victim of a gun-crazy householder was on his way home from choir practice, and on his way to a tutoring session in Nuclear Thermodynamics, when he thought he heard a baby crying inside the house. He was rushing to child's aid, when the deranged gunman opened fire.

The ski mask? Jack, you know as well as I that cool night air wreaks havoc on a fresh do. The handgun? Due to vicious discrimination and the failed policies of George W. Bush, many "urban" residents have had to resort to desperate measures to put meat on the table by hunting for nocturnal protein sources.

Tonight, when I go to the 7-11 for my iced tea and Skittles treats, I am definitely NOT walking by your place.

LOL! When you go to 7-11 could you pick me up watermelon flavored Slurpee with Skittles in it? Thanks!

OK. I’ll drop it off ... but no shooting!

How about my old trusty full-auto rubber band machine gun?
Or how about my spitball shooter?

Can you handle either of those?

When I must enter a danger zone, I always wear two (2)Trayvon (Copyright) Hoodies and OSHA-Approved Eye Protection. So yes, I think I can handle a high-velocity rubber band barrage (above the waist), or an old-fashioned spitball made from torn and chewed IRS Notices.
