I don’t think the TSA agent was the one that was going to taste the drink. They would not ask that.

Why didn't you want to take a drink of your soda in front of the screener?

I could have written that better.

I meant that the security screener asked me to take a drink of my own soda, while he watched, so that he could determine that it was actually soda.

I guess that his theory was that if it were some sort of flammable or explosive liquid, I would be hesitant to take a drink of it.
