Mitt Romney’s wife says her husband is thinking about picking a woman to be on his ticket this fall.

Ann Romney says in an interview, “We’ve been looking at that and I love that option as well.”

She tells CBS News she thinks the person selected for the No. 2 spot should be “someone that obviously can do the job but will be able to carry through with some of the other responsibilities.”

It will be a woman and it should be Sarah Palin.

I agree, and the lib nit-pickers be damned. She's the only one who can make a Romney team look good. Last time around, Obama was an unknown. People now know Palin is right and Obama is wrong, and Romney is wishy-washy and gutless.

Palin?

Not even if Hell itself freezes over.

Bachman?

Wouldn't surprise me one bit.

Why not ! Little “Ole” things like Constitutions, Statutes and case law are meaningless in 2012 A.D. America.

It will be a woman and it should be Sarah Palin at the top of the ticket - not the bottom.

Whoa...

Start back with Ann Romney’s quote.

He’s thinking about picking a woman.

Of course he is thinking about it.

He’s thinking about picking a lot of people who won’t be picked.

I knew a long time ago women will be on his VP list.

That does not equal a woman being selected.

Sarah Palin [...] She's the only one who can make a Romney team look good.

IMO, zero chance of that. The reason is simple. She would outpresident the President in the first week. An ideal VP is one that is silent and invisible. The VP must not be a divisive, polarizing, smart, active person - especially when the President himself is none of that.

Romney is also trying to pander to all sides. Palin is not likely to do that. She would be a liability to Romney's platform of flexible centrism. Romney's VP has to change her opinions as often as Romney himself does.

Most likely Romney will pick a colorless RINO who will be grateful for the offer and will say, without questions, whatever is given to her.

The headline to this story is utterly bogus. They quote Ann Romney as saying “We’ve been looking at that and I love that option as well.” At best she is saying "nothing is off the table".

It really doesn't matter what one says with today's MSM; they just make up stuff.

............the choice will be a mulatto lesbian whose spiritual journey commenced with Judaism, to Zoarastianism, Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Shintoism, Hindi and finally settling on Paganism. ................

Sounds like Kagan or Sotomayor should be on the short list.

No way and No way. Martinez would be an excellent choice, though.

What female Republican in her right mind would sign up for the Sarah Palin treatment - this time on steroids? Because what the media did to Sarah will look like a mere warmup to what they’ll do to Romney’s running mate.

Mrs Romney is performing her first task as “First Lady”.

She is intentionally leading us astray, trying to keep the press and the public from homing in on the real target that Romney has in mind. The intent is to get people talking about somebody other than the person who is really going to get the nomination. McCain had his “surprise moment” at the 2008 convention, and Romney is trying to get some of that same kind of thunder.

good grief

Good grief is right....Disappointed by this bit of bad news ...is Romney’s campaign is looking for a fast and sure way to loose this election? The ONLY woman who could win, sadly to say, is Hillary. Palin is really hated by way too many people...a nominee would have to be nuts to even consider this....and I LIKE Palin. The liberals would have a feast that boggles the imagination.
