100 Million Dollar Man: Romney Sets Fundraising Record
ABC News ^

Posted on 07/05/2012 2:05:29 PM PDT by Joe27

Mitt Romney reportedly raised more than $100 million in June, the best fundraising month of his campaign so far.

Politico's Mike Allen first reported the total, which includes contributions to both Romney's campaign and the Romney Victory Fund—a joint account between the Romney campaign and the Republican National Committee. A Romney spokeswoman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

That's two record-breaking months in a row for the Romney team. In May, the presumptive Republican nominee raised nearly $77 million—almost $17 million more than President Barack Obama's re-election campaign. The Obama campaign has not yet announced its June totals.

“Get of the damn Jet Ski...”

Good point and I agree. The MSM will make of it what they will.

That being said, PRIVATE CITIZEN Romney (who I no love for) on a jet ski is nothing compared to pics of GOVERNOR Dukakis riding in a tank or SENATOR Kerry dressed like a space sperm or POTUS Obama playing golf twice a day.

The one thing hanging over Romney’s head if he is elected will be the promise to repeal Obamacare. If he doesn’t do it, he will be a one term president.

This is why I don't agree with the anti-Romneys who claim that he will do nothing about Obamacare.

Romney is so boxed in on repeal, as are McConnell and Boehner, that it just wouldn't make sense for them not to follow through.

Well, it’s an old fact that elections are about choosing the lesser of two evils, and nipping the heels of even those you voted for on key issues. You can’t have it really any other way, and anyone who thinks a politician will just give them whatever conservative scraps they want is delusional. At the presidential level, you don’t find genuine conservatives, however, I am personally very sick of the banter about race, and other crap from our current POTUS that frankly hearing someone different wouldn’t be all that bad for another few years. I personally didn’t like Romney, nor did I even like either of the Bushes, for that matter, but at least they weren’t some arrogant stubborn-!@# elitist jerk like Obama has been. Seriously, if anything, the worst thing anyone can do now is tell Obama to be himself on steroids by giving him a second term.

There’s plenty of push, and will be push, even for Romney, and even despite the R behind his name, that will be a given. The only issue is whether or not this election gets the tea partiers to shut up or stay true to their core issues regardless of who is sitting in office. That being said, issues and principles are always, and should always, be far more important than the candidates.

He will never be re-elected if it is not repealed (assuming he is elected to begin with).

And there is a good reason for it:

Norquist: Obamacare = Obamatax. Re-electing Obama means higher taxes - permanently

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2903258/posts

“And this collection of 20 tax hikes are in addition to the tax increases Mr. Obama’s election would trigger as the Republican tax cuts of 2001 and 2003 lapse. The marriage penalty returns. The per-child tax credit falls from $1,000 to $500. Tax rates increase for all Americans. The death tax jumps up to 55 percent of your life savings over $1 million. The capital gains tax jumps to 23.8 percent. The tax on dividends triples. The cost in Year One of a renewed contract for Mr. Obama: $500 billion. It will be $5 trillion over the next decade.

A vote for Mr. Obama is a vote for more than $5.5 trillion in higher taxes over the next 10 years. A vote for Mitt Romney and a Republican Congress will repeal all 20 of Obamacare’s taxes and extend all the lapsing tax hikes so Congress can reform the tax code without a tax increase.

There is, too, a dime’s worth of difference between the parties - 55 trillion dimes.”

Dude, the primaries are OVER! You are now SHOOTING AT THE WRONG SIDE! Take aim on the other side. If not, you are doing nothing but the work of the enemy. Get your head straight!

Yeah, we can tell how much they hate him by all the money pouring into his coffers. I think I’ll get out my checkbook and “hate” him some more.

Even if I did actually hate the guy it wouldn’t begin to compare to how much I LOATHE the America hating Social-lust/Marxist wannabe dictator and his freedom destroying policies that is squatting in our Whitehouse right now.

A thought occurred to me reading your note . . .

Of course government mandated health care or government mandated anything has a negative affect on the people. That being said . . .

Many here, yourself included, screaming for Mittens to repudiate the health care program instituted under his Governorship of Massachusetts. BUT YET you also scream about state rights!

Now you can flame away at me all you want. The fact is ideologically and personally we probably agree on most items. But one needs to be consistent in their belief.

There are some big differences between RommeyCare and Obama Care.

1. The bill was read before it was signed

2. It appears the majority of the citizens of the State of Massachusetts desired a bill of this nature.

Now no matter if we disagree with every single content of RommneyCare, IF . . . thats what the people of Massachusetts decide how they want to run their health insurance AND it does NOT affect citizens of any other state . . . who are we to repudiate. Unless of course we want to be "selective" when we pronounce "state right"

Obviously this will be Mittens campaign strategy. AND AND it might even become brilliant in the fact it will educate and inform the great masses of what is and the importance of state rights.

We said the same thing. I did get an 8x10 color picture of Mitt yesterday along with a separate letter asking for a donation.

LOL.

Romney is all that stands between us and years of marxist tyranny in the White House. We are all in to defeat the kenyan and we won't back down.

So feel free to go ahead and keep on running up the white flag, DNCgenesis.

They have been nothing but a broken record for a while now. I just ignore those posts especially the ones that simply repost of old stories and focus on how to defeat Obama.
