Orphans Pictured Chained Up in China
The Telegraph ^ | 06 Jul 2012 | Tom Phillips

Authorities have suspended the director of an orphanage in eastern China after photographs showing two mentally disabled children shackled to furniture with metal chains were posted online.

The scandal, the latest example of how the internet and social media have become powerful weapons against human-rights abuses in China, broke late last month when photographs taken at an orphanage in Cangnan county, in Zhejiang province, began circulating online.

One image showed two boys, aged six and nine, eating from bowls while chained to a wooden bench with metal chains, rope and a blue bicycle lock.

“Is it a welfare home or child abuse home?” one user of Weibo, China’s answer to Twitter, wrote under the name Kevin-JK356.

Referring to the orphanage’s staff, he added: “Dig them out and make them spend the rest of their lives like this!”

Another angry 'netizen’, Fengse Wangxiang, wrote: “Can this place be called a welfare house? It should be called a violent house.”

Following the online reaction, authorities launched an investigation into allegations of misconduct at the orphanage which was reportedly home to 21 children, 19 of whom were physically or mentally disabled, and staffed by “four elderly women, who had received no training or care provision.” According to a report in the state-controlled Xinhua new agency, local officials admitted “nurses had used chains to confine the two boys, both of whom suffer mental illness”.

Xinhua said nurses had resorted to using chains “to prevent the boys from defecating uncontrollably and hurting other children”.

In a statement released this week Cangnan county’s Communist Party committee said it had placed the orphanage’s director under investigation and was looking into the “possible misconduct” of staff.

Looks like an execution to me. And they look as if they have done it before, too.

#3 looks like he had done it before. He moved his head and face to avoid the splatter. Sickening.

I would think one should cite the source of such a picture.

“He moved his head and face to avoid the splatter. Sickening.”

Why? At least in China they don’t mess around, if you do something that merits the death penalty you get a bullet to the back of the head fairly quickly. Here in the US you’re more likely to die of old age waiting for the state to kill you. Also, if you’ve got to die being shot in the head is about as painless as it gets.

It is an image of Liu Jinfeng seconds before her top part of her head was blown off. She killed the man that bought her, enslaved her, and beat her, and kept her chained up, so the Chinese government labled her a murderer and executed her. It is how the national police train to kill prisoners.

You had better cite the source of such a sick twisted picture.

If it is a fake, SAY SO!

DISGUSTING!

Yeah, I hear you. I think that one is fairly well known, I seem to recall it was in the Guardian or something like that.

However the point is well made.

Yeah. Summary execution by the side of the road on the say so of the police is EXACTLY what this nation needs./s

Freedom is wasted on the likes of you.

There are more of those same pictures. I believe some of the others were Tibetan “separatists”. There is one picture of a whole line of them down the road, all getting ready to have their heads blown off by Chinese military. It has been posted on FR many times in the past.

When I said in one of my previous posts that the point was well made, I was referring to the text on the image of the woman being executed.

Leftists all think someone else is going to get their arms held while a gun takes aim.

It is never them, until they are dragged away screaming how unfair it is, and how they support those about to kill them.

It’s not the side of the road, if you look closely you’ll see that there are a bunch of executions going on and the wall that the gal being shot is facing looks to be designed to keep bullets from going any farther. As far as “freedom” I would ask what freedom are you talking about? We are certainly NOT free any more in the US but live in a police state just like most of the rest of the world and it is getting less free by the day. Also, the Chinese do have a justice system so it is not just on the say so of some cop that these people are killed, they stand trial just like people do here.

And if you think that the US justice system is any better I would bet that you haven’t been on a jury for years. The innocent in this country stand little to no chance against the system, just look at George Zimmerman, think he’s getting a fair shake or is it just another show trial for the politically connected?

Or so she says, unfortunately her husband isn’t around anymore to give his side of the story. Kind of like Mary Winkler here in the US. Shot her husband in the back with a shotgun while he was in bed, then unplugged the phone so he could not call for help and let him bleed out. Why? Well she claimed that he made her put on kinky clothes for sex. She spent about 6 months in jail on manslaughter before she was let out. I think I prefer the Chinese justice system when it comes to murders they are quick and efficient in handing out punishment.

The caption is mine, but the photo is all too real. The “Free Tibet” website where I found it has the entire series. A few seconds after that photo, the ghoulish photog snapped one where the young lady is missing her head above the ears. But at least she didn’t make it easy for her executioners: two goons in dress uniforms had to hold her still for the shot. And I’m sure they were splashed in her blood. Her death was not entirely in vain, in that the photos recorded the reality of modern China. Other similar photos show the ambulances waiting behind the firing line, where doctors harvest the organs from the fresh corpses. I am not joking.

That is why the Chinese are taking care to blow off the head and not just riddle the body with bullets.
