Obama Ad Calls Romney 'The Problem' With Job Losses To China (FactCheck Calls BS)
ABC via Yahoo News ^ | 7 July 2012 | Devin Dwyer

Posted on 07/07/2012 5:05:59 PM PDT by edpc

Undeterred by independent fact-checkers that have debunked the thrust of their claims, the Obama campaign is redoubling attacks on Mitt Romney as an "outsourcer" in a new TV ad airing in eight battleground states.

The 30-second spot — titled "The Problem" — claims Romney condoned the Chinese "taking our jobs and taking a lot of our future."

"He made a fortune letting it happen," the narrator says, focusing on Bain Capital outsourcing to China, a country Romney has vowed to challenge as president.

It's the latest in a steady drumbeat of negative attacks on Romney's record as a corporate buyout specialist, alleging he profited off of deliberately bankrupting companies and sending jobs overseas.

"We found no evidence to support the claim that Romney — while he was still running Bain Capital — shipped American jobs overseas," FactCheck.org concluded in a report last month.

Romney is still a problem for conservatives in a lot of ways, but this is an out and out lie by Obama. Funnier still....Obama the Fellow Traveller is acting tough on the Chicoms.

The Won quite likely went over to China and got their agreement on this little bit of charade. That he’d pan them publicly, but give them sweetheart deals behind the country’s back, so don’t worry.

It is 100% false, but since Romney isn’t answering it, these ads are defining him in the minds of a lot of (stupid) people.

I really think he is in serious danger of losing this election before we even get to the Fall.

As LBJ is claimed to have said about Cronkite: "If I've lost Cronkite, I've lost Middle America". [disputed quote]

If Obama has lost ABC News and Yahoo News, he's lost his chance for reelection.

Mitt Romney’s ongoing problems with being very unacceptable to conservative voters/very conservative voters is Mitt’s major weakness. There needs to be a way for, both, Barack Obama and Mitt Romney to lose the race for ‘12 POTUS to a true conservative candidate, instead!

Mittens needs to get his sh!t together and be aggressive....or we WILL have that Obamination back in office.

At this point...from my point of view, Mittens is a 100 million dollar loser.

How long has this Bummer ad been out?

Maybe Team Romney does have something in the works, but they first want to see if the normal process of news vetting makes Obama fall on the floor. That’s juicier from Romney’s perspective. As long as it does not get ignored altogether. The overall effect, of course, makes Obama look like the worse than ignorant, but absolutely fantasizing, idiot he is.

You can bet your bippy Obama has told the Chinese he will have “a lot more flexibility” if he is elected, just like he told the Russians.

Who do you think the Russians want elected?

Who do you think the Chinese want elected?

Who do you think radical Muslims want elected?

All of the enemies of America are pulling for Obama.

It has been at least a couple of weeks already.

The most recent polls that have been released have shown these ads have really damaged Romney’s favorability ratings, and have enabled Obama to open up a decent lead in the head to head matchup.

Yes. The “big lie” technique works quite well. Governor Romney needs to get into gear and really start campaigning hard. Or its down the tubes.

So far Mitt has not opened up anything even remotely like like a big gun. The natural thing to do now is to suppose that he is keeping his powder dry for later in the game, say, September or October. Of course the natural thing to do was to suppose that the SCOTUS would strike down obozocare. I did not fall into that trap. I knew the SCOTUS would twist Reason all out of shape to shove that posion down our throats. However I suspect that Mittens really really wants to br POTUS and that he is in fact going to use Obozo The Clown Presidents own image and words to utterly destroy his credibility come late September.

I saw the Obozo “forward” ad mentioned and it is weak. Obama is the image of three years of failure, there is no way around that and his claiming that someone else is somehow worse then he is falls flat.

“It is 100% false, but since Romney isn’t answering it, these ads are defining him in the minds of a lot of (stupid) people.”

Obama is spending millions of dollars on media buys and the only people who are watching are the ones on MSNBC. The longer Obama lies, the more ammo Romney has when Obama goes on vacation towards the end of the summer.

Make Obama’s life so miserable in August that he has to come home from vacation early. Then you run commercials of Obama not being able to handle the time away from the office which explains why the country is down the tubes.

Obama was on vacation for 4 years.

I would also run a Obama fiddling while the country burned commercial. Just have him holding a pitching wedge instead of a violin.

People who live in the battleground states where these Obama ads are running almost 24/7, probably have a different take.

It isn’t just the MSNBC crowd that is having the image of Romney as an elite, out of touch, outsourcer burned into their heads, it is the mushy Independents as well.

Elections can be lost in June and July just as easily as they can in the Fall.

If Mitt doesn’t go on the attack soon and counter the Kenyan’s BS, he is going to dig himself a hole he may not be able to climb out of.

Romney needs to hit back with the truth... That Obama's "jobs czar," Jeff Imelt moved major portions of GE's manufacturing to China.

And given all the "expansion" of tax-payer owed Government Motors, hasn't most of that expansion been overseas, as in Mexico and China?

And of course, since Obama can't seem to throw away enough tax dollars on unworkable "green energy" companies of his contributors in the USA, he's giving millions of dollars to help fund jobs in "green energy" in Africa.

Romney has provably saved and created jobs in the private sector in the USA. Obama, not so much...

Mark

A couple of days ago, Rasmussen had Romney ahead both nationally and in the swing states, with a bigger lead in ALL the swing states. CNN actually had Romney ahead in all 15 swing states, instead of 11. The margin in swing states was 51 to 43.

I like Rasmussen, and he has a good track record, but even he shows a tie right now. Every other major poll out there shows Obama ahead, some by a significant margin.

Romney has been horrible ever since the SC ruling on immigration, and Obama has been hammering away relentlessly with his “outsourcing pioneer” crap.

Romney should have been attacking and counter-punching all along, but he has been playing it safe.

If he doesn’t come out firing on all cylinders immediately after his vacation ends this week, then he will actually lose to the worst President in the history of our country.

Some of the polls show Obama leading nationally, but not by a lot, and losing in ALL the swing states.

That means that Obama is setting up for a popular vote win, and an electoral loss. It cannot be legitimate, but that’s what it looks like is happening.

Romney needs to come back hard, you’re right about that.

Yup. ABB didn’t work for Kerry, and ABO isn’t going to work for Romney.

Unless conservatives find something to rally behind Romney with, then this is already over and welcome to the last election in the USSA.

Since no conservative is going to rally behind Mitt, you can kiss Congress goodbye too because everyone is going to stay home.

Normally I am a glass half full person, but RIP USA 1776-2008

Conservatives need to GET OVER IT. We had since 2008 to stop Romney and failed to fall-in behind a candidate.

The 2012 GOP primary contest was an embarrassment for any serious person.

Unable to recruit and coalesce behind one Romney alternative since 2008, petulance and hubris doomed the anti-Romney effort.

From those who dithered while "waiting for Palin" and the hopping from one candidate to the next like headless chickens, it was an unmitigated disaster.

It's time to be grown ups, to unify against Obama from the top of the ticket to the lowliest office on our ballots.

And all on account of a blasted Obama lie that’s been debunked.

I do wonder, then, if Mitt sees his audience is buying the lie, what’s going on. Mitt’s not campaign poor now. Maybe he’s got a herd of cats where he should have a campaign publicity think tank.
