(Reuters) - U.S. Democratic Representative Barney Frank wed his longtime partner, James Ready, on Saturday, becoming the first sitting congressman to enter into a same-sex marriage.

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick officiated the ceremony and added some levity by saying Frank, 72, and Ready, 42, had vowed to love each other through Democratic and Republican administrations alike, and even through appearances on Fox News, according to Al Green, a Democratic congressman from Texas.

"Barney was beaming," said Green, who attended the ceremony. He added that Frank, a champion of gay rights and the sweeping reform of Wall Street, shed a tear during the ceremony.

After exchanging their vows, Frank and Ready embraced each other, Green said. "It was no different than any other wedding I've attended when you have two people who are in love with each other," Green said.

God is not mocked, His word stands true. Read the words of Genesis 18 & 19. Things have not changed much. And our president ( with a little ‘p’) condones and celebrates this. (Sigh)

Think that's bad. Try living in the People's Democratic Socialist Republic of Illinois, where the governor and attorney general both think this perversion is just swell.

What’s up with The Daley’s? I liked Chicago at one time, some relatives there but my two favorites died a few years back.

So who wore the wedding dress?

Ah, doesn’t matter - I’m sure the happy couple will have a ball (or two) on their honeymoon.

During the House Financial Services Full Committee Hearing on "Recent Events in the Credit and Mortgage Markets and Possible Implications for U.S. Consumers and the Global Economy"Chairman Barney Frank left the hearing in order to attend a meeting in support of legislation that would force American employers to hire homosexuals.   That says a lot about Barney's priorities.

All of the beer that has ever been brewed, or that will be brewed, and drunk, would not be enough to make anyone say those words. Not even Laz. A stinking lady water buffalo maybe, but not Bawney the rump-wrangling song bird. This bastard killed our real estate market, by the way. Let's wish him a long life plagued by poor health. Frank represents everything wrong with the Democratic party. He really is a disgusting piece of work.

Believe it or not, that's one of the reasons why a homosexual (Justin Raimondo) argued against homosexual marriage. I'm not kidding; here's the excerpt:
The worst victims of the gay marriage proposal won’t be straights, in spite of the ridiculous cries that marriage will be “devalued,” and will therefore become less popular, if two queers are allowed to get hitched. The ones who will really be hurt by admission to the temple of Hera will be gay men.

With gay marriage comes the inevitable gay divorce—and, believe you me, it’s going to be ugly. If gay activists think that marriage is going to somehow legitimize homosexuality in the eyes of Middle America, then they have yet to imagine the new hit “reality tv” show, “Gay Divorce Court,” which will make the heterosexual version seem like a Sunday School picnic. Indeed, I predict that, given the nature of the male animal, the gay male divorce rate will soon outstrip the rate of new gay male marriages. Gay marriage—in the gay male community, that is—is prone to self-abolition.

This gay male aversion to marriage is prefigured in the rate of domestic partnerships—intended as a precursor of gay marriage—in urban gay ghettos. Even fewer will sign up for that trip to the altar, especially when it dawns on them that with the right to marry comes a few responsibilities, particularly of a financial nature.

This is where the [take on the issue by Christians and other socons] goes completely off the rails: the alleged “threat” represented to marriage as an institution by the prospect of gay unions ranges from nil to nonexistent. The idea that gay people, given the opportunity, are going to rush to get married is a fantasy shared by both sides in this debate. But what about states where sexual infidelity is grounds for divorce? Lots of factors no one’s even considered will lead to the big fizzle of “gay marriage.”

Do gay guys really want to have half their incomes claimed by their spouses? With gay marriage comes gay alimony, and that is what is going to make “Gay Divorce Court” such a tawdry tale of twinks on the make and sugar daddies paying through the nose...
His full argument's here.

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick officiated the ceremony and added some levity by saying Frank, 72, and Ready, 42...

I give it six months, tops.

"Barney was beaming," said Green, who attended the ceremony. He added that Frank, a champion of gay rights and the sweeping reform of Wall Street, shed a tear during the ceremony.

They omitted wrecker of the economy and butt-buddy with a Fannie Mae exec...

After exchanging their vows, Frank and Ready embraced each other, Green said. "It was no different than any other wedding I've attended when you have two people who are in love with each other," Green said.

Green is an amoral blind idiot.

....[The Barney Frank/James Ready same-sex “wedding”]..was no different than any other wedding I’ve attended when you have two people who are in love with each other,” Green said.

We had a wedding of a young couple in our Orthodox parish two Sundays ago. Believe me, the Frank/Ready fiasco could be NOTHING like an Orthodox Christian wedding!!!!
