Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, D-Fla. Says she is “pretty happy” with the ongoing economic recovery according to a report by The Examiner, published Sunday, July 8.

Wasserman-Shultz, the Florida Democrat who chairs the Democratic National Committee (DNC), quickly became the butt of political jokes as some Republicans suggested she’s been on "Mars," or a “fantasy land.”

“I am pretty happy about straight 28 months of job growth in the private sector,” Wasserman-Schultz said on Fox News Sunday when asked about the latest jobs report showing 8.2 percent unemployment nationally and 80,000 jobs created. Wasserman-Shultz’s comments came after a string of dismal job reports that has the Obama campaign playing defense. President Obama himself was ridiculed recently in similar fashion after saying the "private sector was doing fine."

Mr. Obama walked his statement back, later saying the private sector "certainly isn't doing fine," but Wasserman Shultz may have reignited that political firestorm, at least in Florida.

She can say that, she’s got a job. (If you call being a politician a job.)

She would be happy sitting in DC with a six digit income.

Those unemployed/underemployed aren't going to fall for her bu!!sh!t however.

One would think with the DWS as the opposition the GOP would be wiping the floor with them....

I for one am starting to wonder just what the hell is the GOP political strategy.... I know Romney is a smart guy and willing to get down and dirty based on the primaries...

When is he going to start in the offensive and stop pussy footing around...

politics is a blood sport....when they are down you kick them in the guts...
Then they try and get up you kick them in the nads.

Yes, but not nearly as nice a person. Schultz was pompous and bumbling, but ultimately an OK person. Debbie is the real Nazi wannabe here.

Washerwoman also stated that the regime has produced two million net jobs during their reign. Trouble is it takes at least a million and a half per year to replace those retiring and new entrants into the job market. What a dolt.

High school and college kids looking for work don’t count as unemployed, because you can’t be “out of work” if you’ve never had a job.

Good thing she isn't in charge of something.

She is in charge of something - the Democrat National Committee, which makes things better, as in better for us come November!!!

I heard she appeared on FoxNews this morning. If that's accurate, it's a surprise, since I thought that the Dem bigwigs in DC had an unspoken boycott against FoxNews and that those who defied it might have to face some consequences.

Unless Blabbermouth has a driver, there is no way to explain how she can find her way from Point A to Point B.

Stupid, loud, and obnoxious is no way to go through life, Wasserman/Shultz.

Just when you thought you were safe, Debbie Syphilis-Test comes back to life and it is not a bad dream! I thought that they had fired her or that she had taken an extended absence for face and brain transplants. Sorta like the zombies that just won’t stay dead.

Sgt. Schultz owned a toy factory in civilian life, IIRC. Debbie has two full-time, high-paying jobs, of course she’s happy!

Beware of women with three names.

Yes, that hyphenated surname style (outside of Spanish speaking countries where it is an old tradition) was something popularized by the bra-burning feminists of the 1970s. Although "Wasserman Schultz" is generally not spelled with a hyphen, I'd intuit that she and her "progressive" husband thought that the double surname thing was chic.

If we’ve enjoyed 28 straight months of private sector job growth, then why has the unemployment rate stayed above 8%? Just curious...

Based on the Bureau of Labor Statistics web page, there has been an increase in jobs every month for the last 20 months. Not 28, as DBS says. Just another typical, ignorant (or lying) Democrat.
