When Edward and Mary Weidenbener went to vote in Indiana's primary in May, they didn't realize that state law required them to bring government photo IDs such as a driver's license or passport.

The husband and wife, both approaching 90 years old, had to use a temporary ballot that would be verified later, even though they knew the people working the polling site that day. Unaware that Indiana law obligated them to follow up with the county election board, the Weidenbeners ultimately had their votes rejected -- news to them until informed recently by an Associated Press reporter.

Edward Weidenbener, a World War II veteran who had voted for Mitt Romney in the Republican presidential contest, said he was surprised by the rules and the consequences.

"A lot of people don't have a photo ID. They'll be automatically disenfranchised," he said.

Another absurdity put up by those who would allow vote fraud.

Obama Campaign Checks IDs At The Door

CLEVELAND — President Barack Obama’s presidential campaign checked the identification of the supporters attending Obama’s “framing” event at Cuyahoga Community College today.

The 1,500 supporters in attendance picked up tickets at campaign offices in Northeast Ohio beginning on Monday, though tickets to the event made no mention of an ID requirement.

Jessica Kershaw, the Obama campaign’s Ohio Press Secretary, confirmed in a statement to BuzzFeed that the campaign checked every supporter’s identification at the door.

“We checked every ID at the door to make sure it matched with the name on the ticket that supporters filled out,” she said. “We did this for every person who came in.”

Good. If they're too demented, stupid, lazy or incompetent to obtain a photo ID, they shouldn't be voting anyway.

WRT “voter fraud”,

“allow” is too mild of a word.

“encourage” is too mild of a word.

“REQUIRE” or “DEPEND ON” is more accurate.

Jesse Jackson let the cat out of the bag when he said that voter ID requirements would reduce the democrat vote count by about 11%. I don’t think it’s that high, but even 2% would make a huge difference in outcome.

This same repugnant article is on the front page of my local Gannett fish wrapper this morning, but the title and subtitle are: Without even reading the article, the bias just makes me want to puke.

The couple's social security checks are probably direct deposit, Check.

They probably don't fly and have his wife felt up by TSA agents as a terrorist risk, check.

But did they drive to the polling place and who doesn't have a drivers license in their wallet?

Usual BS by the MSM.

There AP feel better now?

Interesting that one had to have an ID in Indiana to vote in 2010 and 2008. Guess they didn’t vote then?

DISENFRANCHISED. A democrat code word for let me vote even though I am not eligible.

This word was thrown around after Bush/Gore. These people were aware of that word, they surely should have been aware of new regulations on voting. Had to be all over the news.

A LEGAL vote is nullified by every illegal vote.
A LEGAL vote is disenfranchised by every illegal vote.

Bring your ID to the voting booth to help fight disenfranchisement.

tells me they’ve concluded that Barry is probably gonna lose and they want to create a Bloody Shirt for the Left to wave around for the next decade (since Bush v. Gore has pretty much played itself out)
