HOUSTON (AP) — The head of the NAACP says the group's fight against conservative-backed voter ID laws that have been passed in several states is akin to the great civil rights battles of the 1960s.

Benjamin Todd Jealous, the CEO and president of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, told delegates at the group's annual convention on Monday in Houston that these are Selma and Montgomery times.

“.....these are Selma and Montgomery times.”

This is such bullsh!t. If I were Black I’d be embarrassed to tears.... and I’d be mad as hell.

These White hating race baiting bastards are destroying any progress that the Blacks have enjoyed since at LEAST the 1960’s.

If we were to return to the “Selma and Montgomery times”, it will be at the hands of the Blacks.

I am so sick of this race crap.

The head of the NAACP says the group's fight against conservative-backed voter ID laws

They'll all have an Obomacare card. They can just use that.

Everyone will have one, so there won't be a problem with the "poor" (freeloaders) getting access. They'll be climbing over broken glass to get their "fair share" of everyone elses paycheck.

Obomacare cards are a perfect form of voter ID - because Oboma said in his State of the Union address illegals won't be covered by our tax payer dollars...... didn't he?
Or did he lie right into the face of every American watching? "I did not have sex with those illegals - never, not ever."

"AHCOA", "Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment", New York Communities for Change ("NYCC") and MANY others...simply offshoots of the same, corrupt group formerly called "ACORN"-they've gone away in name only:

"Obama uses taxpayer cash to back ACORN Name changes used to dodge the law"

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/nov/28/obama-uses-taxpayer-cash-to-back-acorn-name-change/?page=all#pagebreak

The Obama administration has showered its allies at ACORN Housing with $729,849 so far this year despite powerful, newly unveiled evidence of corruption and massive accounting irregularities at the longtime affiliate of ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now). Watchdog group Cause of Action recently pressured NeighborWorks America, a taxpayer-funded federal nonprofit that funneled more than $26.5 million in federal foreclosure-avoidance money to ACORN Housing, to disclose an internal audit furnished to then-Senate Banking Committee Chairman Christopher Dodd, Connecticut Democrat, late last year.

African-Americans have more opportunities this day and age than ever before. In education, careers, athletics, socially, etc. But these opportunities are squandered when ‘racism!’ is the constant drumbeat.

Obama Campaign Checks IDs At The Door

Jessica Kershaw, the Obama campaign’s Ohio Press Secretary, confirmed in a statement to BuzzFeed that the campaign checked every supporter’s identification at the door.

“We checked every ID at the door to make sure it matched with the name on the ticket that supporters filled out,” she said. “We did this for every person who came in.”

Addendum: The ONLY reason democRATs/liberals/NAACP/socialists are worried about voter id is getting caught in voter fraud.

Taking advantage of those opportunities ain't "keepin' it real."

The civil rights struggles of the 1960's were not pleasant but like all past events seen through the haze of time, generate a sense of nostalgia for many blacks as well as white liberals. Today, black 'leaders' desperately need an 'enemy' to fight because racism, while not extinct, is hardly the obstacle it was 50 years ago in America. The election of Barack Obama took a lot of wind out of the 'America is racist' meme the race hustlers use to agitate 'their people'. So, now, it's the fraudulent 'fight' against presenting a photo ID to vote, which most people understand is a perfectly rational requirement in today's society where ID is required to do almost anything. Obviously, the objections to the photo ID laws are based on the fact that Democrats historically use voter fraud and this law would effectively stop that.

Because the left cannot allow talk of voter fraud to gain any traction, they had to invent a rationale for objecting to perfectly logical voter ID laws. The answer? What else? 'Racism!" As Jon Lovitz used to say (in his persona as 'Tommy Flanagan, The Pathological Liar' on SNL) "that's the ticket!" Trouble is, racism has nothing to do with voter ID laws and most Americans realize this, making the NAACP look like the phony race-hustlers they are when they try to equate their objection to voter ID laws as a racial struggle. The NAACP has taken the good will most whites felt toward blacks who endured the '60's racial battles and squandered it by making absurd connections to perfectly reasonable voter ID laws and calling that 'a racial struggle' Hardly. More like a 'keep voting fraud alive' struggle. Shame on them.

Sorry, Bubba Jealous. Gay is the new Black. You're irrelevant. You're just too dumb to realize it.

They desperately need to maintain the idea that whites are keeping them down. The possibility that the main thing keeping them down is their own inadequacy is something they cannot face.

Good link. Many of those same methods are used in Wisconsin, except that it is exacerbated by our registration at the polls.

Logically, that could and should be true. But the masses of liberal morons who inhabit this country (50%+) get their information from a leftist media that will never tell them that so they will never know. It tells them the voter ID laws are racist and they believe it.
