Who’s bailing on Obama? Just about everybody
Washington Times ^ | July 8, 2012 | Joseph Curl

Today, let’s look at the polls — all of them. To start with, health care: Just 6 percent of Americans think health care is the most pressing issue, according to the latest Gallup poll. Why? Because lots of those Americans don’t have jobs or are underemployed — the real jobless rate nationwide is more like 14.9 percent, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday.

So savoring his big win on health care is most definitely a waste of time for President Obama, and he knows it. After less than a week of spiking the football (a relatively short time for America’s most narcissistic president ever), the president is back on the campaign trail. What’s striking is where he’s going: Pennsylvania, Ohio, Iowa — places he won in 2008.

Why? Simple. All the latest polls show he’s losing … well, everyone. He’s down 13 points with voters ages 18 to 25, nearly half of whom think he’s done a mediocre job, according to Students for Life of America. The healthy young don’t really care about health care, but they do care about jobs — and nearly 2 million 20- to 24-year-olds are unemployed.

“With skyrocketing student debt and grim unemployment prospects for those out of college, young voters’ collective love affair with the president has abated,” SFLA Executive Director Kristan Hawkins said.

The rate is far worse if you’re young and black. For blacks ages 16 to 19, the unemployment rate is now 39.3 percent, up from 36.5 percent last month...

--snip--

While the lack of enthusiasm for Mr. Obama does not translate into enthusiasm for Mr. Romney, the GOP candidate has a clear path to victory: Nibble away at the margins the president won in 2008 — across all demographics. Pick up 4 percent here, 9 percent there … until victory.

I would agree Romney needs to be out there more but, when he is, to me he looks and acts like the next president of the United States. That I like.

Stop being paranoid. Romney has a significant chance of beating Obama, if he plays his cards right. August will be a really good preview of what's to happen.

I wish Palin would throw her hat into the ring at the convention. If she ended up getting the nomination we could say “You wanted us to vote for your boy. Well, we want you to vote for our REAL woman.” Then ask Rove and the rest of the GOPe if they’re truly going to support her.

The same in Minnesota. Last week Powerlineblog.com posted an article claiming that two secret polls showed Obama weakness here. They provided no specifics so I dismissed it at first. Then later in the week I saw ads from a pro-Romney PAC and regular Obama ads here in the Twin Cities. What I take from that and your comment is that Obama is showing weakness in places where you wouldn’t expect him to be weak.

Both fighters are owned by the same mafia, it’s just a matter of which one will be told to take a dive in 9th round.

Most people are focused on trying to hold their jobs... or get a job... or paying the house note and the doctor bill... or where this week’s gas budget will come from... or how much groceries are costing and how the price of everything seems to be rising with each visit to the store. Their savings are smaller and their investments have devalued by 50%. Not only are they paying attention... they are not happy about anything.

Obama is campaigning every day and burning up his ad dollars at an alarming rate. Romney is on vacation yet the polls remain virtually tied. I think Romney is smart to bide his time, save his resources for a big push, then have a full court press from the convention to election day. He is waiting to let his momentum build when it counts, and meanwhile, Obama is shooting his wad to little avail.

Some, Rush, have suggested that the young and unemployed and especially the minorities don’t care about jobs. They have given up and are being taken care of and they are counting on that continuing. They have given up dignity and honor and replaced dreams with a new kind of deflated hope. They think that free stuff will go on forever.

Free stuff won’t go on forever but it will go on for as long as they think they need it as long as the lib protectors can stay in power. The tipping point has been reached hasn’t it?

I feel like we are over the edge of a great cliff and that the end of an era may have come. Notice I keep saying “may”. I still hope that Maslow still wins and that the Self-Actualization thing somehow comes through. The tipping point population may have given up on that though. If they have we are cooked.

The liberal vote is split between mitt and obie.

What you say makes sense. Admittedly, I am looking for good news and hope.

Mitt is raising a lot of money. He IS sensible with money. he’ll use it when he needs to.

We’re paying attention and anxious, but most people are not. Mitt won’t waste $ in the summer.

He could be just a jerk, but you bring up a point, he wants it. McCain didn’t. Not as much. And we’re real sick of him still.

So with the Pubs convention being first; they will stupidly coronate Mitt.

Then, a week after; Obama will bail ‘for the good of the country’ and the Dems will nominate a CONSERVATIVE sounding person to be THEIR candidate!

Now then - which party will win in November??

Mittens campaigned harder and dirtier against his pubbie opponents than he ever has against obie.

Doe mittens have a plan? Is there any fire in his gut for anything but money and mormons?

I don’t even know one thing about the actor who played Shemp and I would bet everything I have including my life that he would have made a president vastly superior to what we have.
Hell’s bells, even I would be vastly superior to what we have.

“.just because Obama isn’t just another democrat...he’s horribly bad.”
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Nothing is left of the old Democrat party, as bad as the Democrats used to be they were not ready to see this country totally destroyed, the rats who replaced the Democrats are and Obama is the worst of a bad lot.
