A former IRS employee who allegedly used her position to steal her landlord's identity faces up to 46 years in prison and a fine of $1.2 million following her indictment on charges of identity theft.
Domeen Flowers, 48, was hired as a mail room clerk in 2007 at the Internal Revenue Service's offices in Philadelphia. In June 2009, the Kensington woman used IRS computers to get information that allowed her to apply for credit cards under her landlord's name, prosecutors said. When she attempted to use one of the cards to pay a $1000 gas bill, the company put a hold on the account.
Using IRS letterhead, Flowers allegedly threatened her landlord with an audit unless she faxed copies her driver's license and Social Security card to a machine at the IRS which Flowers could access.

... you would be right.
I can’t wait till these folks have access to all our health records.
As a victim of IRS identity theft, I am with you. I can’t imagine handing over my medical records to these people.
Obama; If I had a daughter she would be just like Domeen Flowers. Wait he already has two.
Don’t worry, she probably just ripped off honkies. Think of her crimes as reparations; her judge in Philly probably will.
The first person to post something about her name is a racist! sarc
Well she was from Pennsylvania, must be Amish.
An Amish woman named Domeen.

I think the landlord has the right to comment on her name. Do me en.
Screw it. She is Black and her victim is White.
She and her like minded kin think the world owes them a living and something special. They have been trained to think that way.
One of you HTML mavens post her picture.
I’m sick of this Shi_.
One of Holder’s people.
My focus is on the corruption. Florida is party central for IRS tax fraud. If some of it is an inside job, the public has the right to know.
You gotta problem with that?
Bet she is a real intellectual. I see she clings to the Bible. Must be a different one than mine since the one I’ve read for 50 years is pretty hard on theft, fraud, lying etc.
Domeen is a poster child for EEO and all the government is. It sucks.
Exodus 12.35: And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses, and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: (36) And the Lord gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.
The Israelites were getting payback for being enslaved by the Egyptians; Domeen is just getting payback for being enslaved by white America.
Are you serious?
If she needs to get back at anyone go talk to the black slave traders that brought her ancestors to the beach in Africa.
I don't know how old Domeen is, but I seriously doubt she is old enough to have been a slave in the US before the adoption of the 13th amendment.
The Bible says "Thou shalt not steal" and "Thou shalt not bear false witness." The case in Exodus seems to have been a one-time exemption, not a precedent.
Oops. The story says she is 48. So not only is she not old enough to be a former slave, but she has no personal experience of pre-Civil Rights Act of 1964 Jim Crow laws in the South. She never had to use a colored water fountain instead of a white water fountain. She probably wasn’t even forced to use a colored crayon instead of a white crayon.
Well, I don’t think she is Jewish and so far this ain’t Egypt. So, no precedent.
You never know who is lurking around this place.
Right, I shouldn't have cited that obscure passage from the Bible. There could be an Egyptian lurking whose family is still hoping to get back a treasured family heirloom they lent to an Israelite neighbor just before the Exodus.
They'll be able to tell their homies who's got the good drugs. What could go wrong?
