Jane Pitt, mother of actor Brad Pitt, has been scared into silence by the hate-filled, vulgar and even violent reaction to her public assertion that Barack Obama is “a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.”
Pitt has even been the subject of death threats following her letter to the editor of Missouri’s Springfield News-Leader in which she asserted failure to vote for Republican presumptive presidential candidate Mitt Romney constituted a vote for Obama.
WND spoke briefly with Pitt and asked about the media assault against her for her comments as a private citizen supporting Romney. With inflections in her voice that conveyed fear and despair, she quietly and politely said she was not interested in talking to anyone in the media about the incident.
When she was told WND supported her right to speak her mind and is appalled by the threats against her life, Pitt expressed gratitude to WND for being one of the few news agencies doing so. Even her thank you, however, was said in a subdued manner laden with heaviness of heart.
Pitt had every reason to be frightened. Following her letter to the editor in her local newspaper, the mainstream media have painted her comments in a vilifying light.
The Hollywood Reporter published a story headlined, “Brad Pitt’s mother pens anti-gay, anti-Obama letter to local newspaper.” The New York Daily News went further, penning an article originally titled, “Brad Pitt’s mom unleashes anti-gay, anti-Obama fury in letter.”
She Knows Entertainment reported that Pitt actually “hates Obama, ‘gay’ people.”

I’d advise Jane Pitt to start watching Ann Barnhardt videos to toughen up. She was right to speak her mind about the atrocity of Obama’s presidency.
She’s got nothing to be ashamed of, and shouldn’t live in fear of the left. Time to make them back down by standing firm and giving it right back to them.
Brad Pitt is a cowardly Hollywood phony. His mother is insulted and vilified with hateful, obscene attacks. Brad is too cowardly to stand up for his own mother and take on the people who attack her.

Brad probably got on the phone to her and read her the riot act for making him look bad in front of his fellow travelers.
This story's been up long enough for him to have issued some sort of supportive statement by now, but he hasn't, ergo, he agrees with those attacking his mom.

He has made any comments in defense of his mom even if only the old liberal line of “I disagree with what she says but I will fight to the death for her right to say it”?

I find it interesting that both Pitt and his girlfriend, Angelina Jolie, have outspokenly Conservative parents. It is one thing to have a difference of opinion with a parent, but another to see them attacked for their beliefs...

We should all be so brave as Jane Pitt.
Internet anonymity makes us feel quite brave, but sign a penned letter to our local editorial page, as Jane did, is a much more precise measure of one’s courage.
For example, just consider what punches JR takes for the sake of our anonymous posts.
All core-principled conservatives, especially Christian ones, are bashed for producing evidence of unmoveable patriotism, tradition and truth.
Excellent point. It took real courage to do what Jane Pitt did. But who knows whether she would have done so, had she known what sort of vile backlash she would receive from the left?
It's my guess that she had no idea how vicious they can be. The fact that her famous son hasn't stood publicly to demand an end to the threats against her, says a lot about the weakness of his character, and the depth of his leftist indoctrination.
Mrs. Pitt is no doubt getting a lesson in just how low these people are, right now.
Then again, he may be doing some of the attacking.
