I'm sure they could use the water and fertilizer if any of you Arizona based right wing nuts want to drop by the institute and pay your respects.
As a recovering addict myself, I am rather unhappy they broke his anonymity. The program has principles, and chief among them in anonymity. Too bad these guys couldn’t or wouldn’t respect that.
The whole fam damily belongs in asylums of some type.
Race hustling grifters.
At least he didn’t try to eat any of his colleagues before going into rehab.
What’s he addicted to, FREE CHEESE????

GRIFT ADDICT
Dearest Laz, you were never a public office holder, entrusted to make decisions for thousands of people. The public’s “right to know” etc. I’m shocked Andrea Mitchell reported it.
“Step One” in the 12 Step legal process.
JJ Jr. is under investigation for conspiracy to pay a bribe to convicted felon and former Illinois Governor Blagojevich.
The alcohol and drugs made me do it!
Oh, so the whole “exhaustion” thing was a coordinated lie?
Perhaps “exhaustion” is the liberal words for “Passed Out”
Is Junior wearing red liptstick?
Everything connected with a Democrat is a lie. Democrats, like Satan cannot exist without the lie.
He’s a Dem and Jesse Jackson’s son..can’t really blame him for smoking some crack
Does the FedGov provide good substance abuse coverage for its employees?
I thought Arizona was on the liberals’ sh!tlist? Why not California?
This guy is an elected representative. His addiction to alcohol and drugs directly affect his constituents. They have a right to know why he isn’t foing his job too. Some nebulous excuse isn’t good enough.
Congress and CA legislature need regular drug tests.
I dunno. The AA and NA in me screams foul, somehow.
The TEA Party needs a new plank for the platform. A push to make frequent mandatory drug testing the law for any elected rep and secondly, a mandatory BKG check by the FBI as part of the electoral process.
Add those two issues and you will get a ton of converts to the cause...and some better candidates.
And boy won’t the Democrats spaz out!
Once again the old adage proves true:
The Apple Doesn’t Fall Far From The Tree
“Does the FedGov provide good substance abuse coverage for its employees?
I thought Arizona was on the liberals sh!tlist? Why not California?”
Some nationally recognized clinics in/near Tucson. California has plenty, too. One of course is the Betty Ford center, and another is the US Navy facility in Long Beach, where Mrs. Ford herself was treated. Hoag hospital, and many more.
Does smoking crack make one crave free cheese?
To quota Mark Twain upon hearing that a person he disliked was sick in the hospital ...”I certainly hope it’s nothing trivial.”
Jesse Jr.’s liquor is probably from the USA but his drugs probably came up from Mexico via our unprotected border here in Arizona. Hola! Illinois!
Not a fan but I hope he can put his demons behind him and become a better and satisfied man.
Also, prayers up for the people he’ll depend on to get past this. That road can be rough for all involved.
Me, too!
I suppose it's NBC's attempt at "balance." Watch for stories tomorrow about rumors of Romney's secret drug-usage that may have made him bully the long-haired snot in prep school.
We'd be waiting a long time for that announcement.

do I really have to say it???
I can respect that, but this report doesn’t say exactly WHO revealed the story. For all we know, it could have been one of his own associates ... leaking the story in anticipation of a “Kennedy” defense in a criminal investigation related to his conduct in office.
Makes sense, Arizona is probably the last place people would look for him. They Hid him in deep red republican country.
Sounds like the suicide attempt was true?
Pray for his Salvation
I don’t know about you, but when I’m exhausted, I take a nap, go on vacation, or whatever. I wouldn’t be going to a hospital.
When you see the word, exhaustion, associated with a celebrity’s hospitalization, you know it’s bogus.
They tried to send him back to Congress, but I said 'no, no, no'...
"If he had to read a manual to smoke crack cocaine, he wouldn't have a drug problem."
Is that a trace of red blood leading from his right nostril?
Looks like he snorted a lot of white rocks.
Right. That fact (he's suffering from addiction) per se doesn't make him a good or bad person, and is not a conservative/liberal thing.
I, for one, am not going to pile on here. JJ Jr. needs to get himself healed up so he can return to doing his job: forming a more perfect socialist Democratic Union.
Did Jr have to show his ID before he was admitted?
Probably had a pocketful of blow when he got off the plane.
Too bad we couldn’t have Arpaio arrest him.
I hope he is able to overcome his demons. That being said, you are exactly right. His addiction directly impacts his ability to serve his constituents. For the past month or so, nobody knew where he was, why he dropped out of sight, and when (or if) he would be back. The public was told only that he was being treated for "exhaustion", we should respect his privacy, and that no further details would be provided. Think about it. If any of us failed to show up for work for the past 30 days, refused to tell our employer why, and further stated that our privacy should be respected, how long would an explanation like that be tolerated?
Bush’s fault no doubt.
They'd have to make an exemption for Pelosi. She couldn't get through the day without a handful of MDMA. The omnipresent goofy grin tells all.
He's been MIA since June 10th. That's a month without an explanation. Had he been a man, he would have come clean prior to his going into rehab, but as usual, being a Democrat allows him to lie, stall and obfuscate.
I call BS. Hiding in rehab is more like it.
There is one thing we can be sure of; it was the finest booze and best cocaine taxpayer funds could buy!

I’d agree except I think it’s all one big calculated lie as he tries to elude the grasp of the federales.
— The program has principles,

Strangely enough, I agree
Addiction is tough to face,
but the consequences must be faced later
These are the original Twelve Steps as published by Alcoholics Anonymous:
1) We admitted we were powerless over alcoholthat our lives had become unmanageable.
2) Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
3) Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.
4) Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
5) Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
6) Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
7) Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.
8) Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.
9) Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
10) Continued to take personal inventory, and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it.
11) Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.
12) Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to alcoholics, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.
Jessie Jackson ..... and the black moore fish.

With all due respect, it is now five weeks since the just disappeared like a fart in the wind. Just how much time would you allow your representative if you knew absolutely nothing besides what some spokesman had to say? Would it matter to you that according to a report yesterday, we were told not to expect him back in his office until sometime after Labor Day?
He accepted a very high profile and powerful job to represent his constituents combined will all the access to the money, corrupt or not, because of his position.
As an employer, would you not be just a little more demanding of specific reasons why an employee just decided to take a one month vacation without notice or explanation and then be told it might be longer than an additional six weeks before he might come back?
He did not find himself in this position by no fault of his own. Instead, it was totally his fault and lack of personal responsibility that got him where he is now. Further, his other indiscretions landed him in the Pay to Play Blogo scandal and I'm sure that Blogo was not going down alone and somebody has the goods on JJJr. Then he gets caught in a rather insidious affair to top it all off.
An honorable man would step down and take his lumps, of his own doing, and figure out how to catch the next available on-ramp to start a new life, hopefully with a much more secure moral compass. Just like any one of his constituents would have to do.
Maybe he's trying to qualify for disability benefits. I hear they're handing them out like candy these days.
It’s almost certain there is a video somewhere of Andrea Mitchell trying to blame Jackson’s addictions on Romney or Bush.
