Menendez: Liar
Washington Free Beacon ^ | 7/11/12 | staff

Sen. Robert Menendez’s claims that President Obama’s health care reform provides $250 million in savings over its first 10 years and $1.2 trillion over its second decade have been rated “mostly false” by Politifact, a nonpartisan fact checking website.

“‘So the reality is the Congressional Budget Office says we save $250 million over the first 10 years. Over the next 10 years, we save $1.2 trillion in savings in terms of health care,’ Menendez said in a June 28 interview on the Regional News Network’s Richard French Live,” Politifact notes before assessing the claim.

The site concludes: “The senator is clearly wrong to cite projected savings of ‘$250 million over the first 10 years.’”

And the senator “made a larger mistake by suggesting the budget office has projected ‘$1.2 trillion in savings’ over the second 10 years,” Politifact states, adding: “The budget office has not projected any specific dollar figures for that period. The uncertainties are too substantial to create such detailed projections, according to the budget office.”

Unusual, considering Politifact is a wing of the Obama Admin.

There should be a politifact to monitor politifact.

I just gave myself an idea.

We know Medicare is underfunded and the Medicare trustees say it is going to run out of money, which of course it never does because they throw more money at, so it costs more and more than they say it will.
It’s really amazing... Obamacare is like perpetual motion, or cold fusion. Getting something for nothing. How can you add the cost of providing care to 15 to 30 million more people, add 16,000 IRS agents and untold thousands more government bureaucrats, and more elderly on Medicare due to the aging Baby Boomers, all while reducing cost?
Answer: you can’t. Obama’s initial 900 billion dollar estimate will pale compared to the actual cost, especially when it gets fully implemented.

Now let ‘s all remember, unfortunately we don’t arrest, tar and feather lying politicians in America. We can only vote them out at the ballot box so let’s focus on that.

“‘So the reality is the Congressional Budget Office says we save $250 million over the first 10 years...yeah, in charges directly to Obamacare - but this doesn't include off-budget expenses like the Doc-Fix, needed to restore cuts in fees to physicians, which will cost about $250 million each year - or the increase in insurance premiums paid directly by the people, like the nine percent hike in family healthcare premiums this year alone because - surprise surprise - kids can now stay on their parents policies until they're twenty-six - 'rats are so cognitively-impaired they have to keep relearning that there is no free lunch....
