Hey kids, wake up! Stop playing your X-Box while listening to your Facebooks on the iPod and wearing your iPad with the cap turned backwards with the droopy pants and the bikini underwear listening to Snoopy Poopy Poop Dogg and the Enema Man and all that!

Take a break from getting yet another tattoo on your ass bone or your nipples pierced already! And STFU about the 1 Percent vs. the 99 Percent!

You're not getting screwed by billionaires and plutocrats. You're getting screwed by Mom and Dad.

It will financially crush our children.

I try to tell my kids that the money the State spends has to be paid back, and that any significant increase in spending reduces their future prosperity - since wealth represents freedom they are being enslaved.

They hear but it seems difficult for them to comprehend the seriousness of the situation.

Each Democrat response is now a fully documented LIE.

Each Republican accusation has been fully proven.

Same is true of Uncle Teddy's 1965 Immigration Reform Act.

Liberal Democrat politicians are spawn from hell and have been for decades.

I agree entirely, except that it was mainly the parents and the grandparents of the men who fought in WWII who were responsible for the New Deal. Of course, the vets tended to follow in their parents footsteps.

The transfers are more complicated (SS only): black to white, men to women, lower intelligence to higher intelligence, black to hispanic, indians to everyone, less affluent to more affluent, whites to east asians, etc.

The entire thing needs to stop now.

I put money in. Against my will. I should be compensated. It’s that simple.

We’ve all put money in against our will. You are already in line to get far more out than you put in—it’s the younger participants who are screwed.

"So kiddos, you're getting screwed by old people who expect you to maintain a system that benefits them at your expense, regardless of their needs or yours."

Narcissism and entitlement run deep with this group.

Sometimes I wonder if one of the reasons their greed is so blatant now is the fear instilled by the Dems.

I’m tellin’ ya, we Boomers have been watching somebody in our family living off of Social Security since we were all knee-high to a grasshopper. And upwards of 80% are going to day “Now it’s my turn, and you are damned well gonna make good on this!”

I don’t want any more than what I put in. I don;t want socialism security to exist. OK? I want those who are now getting paid to stop getting paid if they have taken more than they have put in. And yep that will be hard for some folks. There is a theft in progress. It should stop. Now.

Every time I hear my father say something like your statement, I tell him he’s screwing over me and his grandson. Then, he shuts his mouth or says ‘well, I’m about to die anyway.’

>> Sell federal lands to pay off those who contributed and let younger Americans keep what they earn so they can pay for their own old age.

Works for me. Hey, at least you have a plan instead of just bitching about it.

I agree, to promote the general welfare of the people is simply to not tie the hands of the people who are bringing in the food.

But it is a stand off, first was the socialist social security program to keep the old folks from being in the hair of the younger people.

But by the time the younger generation got old enough to start thinking about their retirement they realized that their off spring was too stupid and lazy to possibly take care of them selves.

If we don,t get the government involved in taking care of the young then our social security checks will go to take care of these little monsters who spend most of the day going around eating expensive junk food and kicking their hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of toys all over the yard.

By the time a child gets 5 years old they have more toys than most 75 year olds has had all of their life.

Encourage the young girls to not get married because we might have a son in law to take care of, after all we know that the way we have raised her that she can not get a real man to take charge because she is too stupid, also to mention we did not raise our boys to be real men.

But if she can get a bastard child then the government will take care of her and she will be the little independent girl you can be proud of, and she will no longer be our responsibility.

Steal from other tax payers to send our kids to college so that they can know how to earn a big income by being employed by the government, because they are too worthless to do any real work for a private company.

We have made a mess of this nation from one end to the other
because we do not do unto others as we would have them do unto us, what we do is to holler about it and force others to do it.

I think it will get much worse, i believe we will see what real hard times are.

I am really proud of the young people who believe in working and providing for them selves.

Yeah, I hear ya—and understand.

The sorry truth is that what people were ‘paying into the system’ was taxes, pure and simple.

Just like Obamacare ‘penalties’ are taxes too.

You mean that green-’n-white bifold brochure the SS sends me every year, detailing my “contributions” and future expected “payout”, is a LIE?

The GOVERNMENT would lie to me?

Man, that’s harsh. And unexpected. Now I’m all depressed and stuff. :-(

Hook, line, and sinker! Hey, the SS brochure even LOOKS like the typical 401(k) brochure... right down to the nice tables of impressive looking numbers that resemble “information”, and yet completely obfuscate your real rate of return. :-)

End it, just give me back what I’ve paid in for the last
36 years. I don’t care about interest or whatever, just
what I’ve paid in. And as a farmer I’ve had the privilege
of paying both halves.

Speaking in practical terms, Boomers must lower their expectations to real levels. This means not getting the quality of exorbitantly priced medical care that Greatest Generation are now getting, but it doesn’t mean not getting any at all.

This means market forces and what is called “opportunity costs” in economics.

To start with, nobody can afford insurance for routine medical care. Not insurance companies and not the government. But on the plus side, if it is all “out of pocket”, it can be as much as 50% less expensive, because of the much lower overhead.

Likewise, malpractice must be limited to actual damages for malpractice, not just bad luck. Also driving down the price of medical care.

Catastrophic care still needs to be insured, but it is so unprofitable, that it almost has to be by the government, with that insurance “lock boxed” from day 1 in private accounts.

Most likely the vast majority of nursing home care will have to be outsourced to medical “enclaves” built just south of the border. This will take advantage of Mexico’s better legal environment, much lower caregiver to patient ratio, and a lot more non-medical labor support. Quality care but at a much lower price.

A lot of self-inflicted conditions will have to be “out of the system”. Smokers, alcoholics and drug abusers, and the extremely obese will have to take responsibility for their self abuse, and not be given more than palliative care for severe pulmonary conditions, destroyed livers, and the numerous health complaints associated with extreme obesity.

If they want to change and be treated, they need to do so at least a decade before they need to be treated. Their choice.

However, oddly enough, euthanasia does not figure in to this equation, because it is so remarkably easy to murder and call it euthanasia. If they want to commit suicide, they must do so on their own.
