20 Republicans set to Uphold Controversial UN treaty. (L.O.S.T. Treaty that is)

A major aspect of the liberal agenda is to use international treaties to undermine American sovereignty and liberty, as well as to loot Americans on behalf of global socialism. Among the most outrageous of these is the Law of the Sea Treaty, which calls for potentially $trillions of dollars of American wealth to be redistributed to other countries. Another is a small arms treaty that would infringe on the Second Amendment.

The internationalist (i.e., anti-American) Obama Regime requires help from the Senate to impose these treasonous treaties. Don’t think they won’t get it — even from Republicans. Appallingly, 18 Republican Senators are reportedly at least considering signing off on LOST: Mike Enzi (WY), Kay Bailey Hutchison (TX), Mike Johanns (NE), Kelly Ayotte (NH), Lindsey Graham (SC), John McCain (AZ), Dick Lugar (IN), Mark Kirk (IL), Olympia Snowe (ME), Susan Collins (ME), Lisa Murkowski (AK), Johnny Isakson (GA), Chuck Grassley (IA), Rob Portman (OH), Bob Corker (TN), Thad Cochran (MS), Scott Brown (MA), and Lamar Alexander (TN).

LOST represents not only a massive looting spree at American expense, but a severe encroachment on our national sovereignty. All Democrat Senators are expected to back it, confirming that their party is not just misguided but aggressively hostile to the USA, which it is in the process of destroying from within in the name of a oligarchical collectivist ideology absolutely opposed to our country’s founding principles.

We have a chronic disease in GA called Isakson and Chambliss. Two of the biggest card carrying RINO’s in history. Fortunately Chambliss has the street smarts to put his finger in the wind so I guess he’s going to vote no. I just sent Isakson a strong email and most of my friends are following suit.

We will probably primary Chambliss next time arouond but Isakson has all the yuppies in Dunwoody in his pocket so getting rid of him is going to be next to impossible. He is the Lindsay Graham of GA.

Looks like a list of VP candidates.

May God bless you Georgia voter. You know your two senators very well and you know how to keep them on a short leash. Now if we can get people from Tennessee to do the same with their two “quisling backslider” RINO senators, maybe we’ll have a chance to defeat this thing.

The Republicans aren't doing anything but playing good cop - bad cop with the left, but in the end, everything keeps moving to the left. The right throws us a small bone, and we celebrate. They stab us in the back, and we bitch - for a few days - then forget about it. We turn around during the next election, and work to get out the vote - again.

This is exactly what the corrupt "Two-Party Cartel" has done for decades. Yea, this will probably pass by just the number of votes needed. If they needed 90 votes they would be there just at that number. It's all a bunch of crapola & all would be better to spend more time on other things because this chapter in freedom & liberty has been taken from the people. You can't beat it. Just when y'all thought that the Supremes would protect us what happened. The whole system is a charade.

I am writing a registered letter to Scott Brown tonight.

Good on you. But do be sure to post here the form letter you'll get back. I have written a few times and the response is the same. He won't vote differently no matter how many people write to him and complain. He's a lost cause. But the alternative (Warren) is worse.

Kay Barely Republican will become Kay Barely American if she votes for this. This is a no-brainer; she shouldn’t have to “go all Hamlet” deciding whether to give up American sovereignty to a herd of 3rd world klepto-thugs.

And you're worried about some else's status as a "true conservative" because of a statement?!

A "true conservative" should understand that the House has no input at all in the ratification of treaties.

In case you didn't know, tx_eggman, 2/3 of Senators present can ratify a treaty.

My failure to include the Senate's quorum rules in my statement about the Senate's Consttutional role in the treaty ratification - and the House of Representative's lack thereof - brings to mind straining at gnats and swallowing camels.

Thanks for pointing it out.

So why did you do it to start with?
Don't get sanctimonious about me calling you out for doing the very thing you accuse me of doing.

How about this...you show me one single reply of yours from before this conversation where you've noted that 2/3 present is all that's necessary to ratify a treaty and that'll properly put me in my place.
I'll profusely apologize at that point.

I wrote a nasty letter to Sen. Hutchison about this. She’s a lame duck, but maybe it will do some good to hear from a constituent on this treaty that is still under the radar.

Now, now people they do have the (R), that is all we need to know, go back to the Big Screen TV, we will let you know when it is time to vote for the man with the (R)

Never trust a man that uses terms like, Fairness, Infrastructure, Revenue Enhancements, Repeal and Replace and New World Order.

I think you have their play book exactly right.

For some reason, they're suppose to be our saviors in 2012. Yeah, right.

We are supposed to THINK they will be our saviors. Maybe we should expect no one other than Jesus Christ to be our Savior? Politicians might then be returned to their limited duties jobs.

I believe we have indeed replaced God with Government and are now about to pay the piper.

The Senate Rules can be suspended I think. In any case who believes they give a cr@p about the rules.

The Senate has been in violation of the Constitution since Obama took office, because they have a Constitutional duty to pass a budget. Do you see anyone attempting to arrest Harry because he is in violation of the Constitution and his Oath?

Probably 80 or 90 percent of legislation is passed in the wee hours, by voice vote and no knows who is there, let alone how many votes that represents. Government is evil and has the same characteristic as fire.

McCain, Murkowski and Snowe. How unexpected. I’m shocked, really.

I assume these 18 traitors include McCain’s “Gang of Eight.”

Portman?? This is the guy Romney is supposedly high one for his VP pick?? He’s going to vote AYE for LOST?

I’ve long been beyond sick of those in both parties who seek to dismantle and cripple our fine nation.

Rome’s Great Empire must have looked very similar when she began to fall.

What can we do to save the greatest nation in history?

when so many of our Military (and God only knows why) are supporting this, they probably think this is good for the country.

That’s the first I’ve heard of this. Other than a few perfumed princes among the political animals, I cannot imagine anyone in the Armed Forces supporting surrendering our resources and territories.

Just another stake into the heart of whatever conservatives are left by RINO romney if he chooses portman.

The only thing that will get me to vote for Romney will be an acceptable running mate.

I’ll be shocked if he chooses one.
