"A SWAT team will not be needed, IMHO. Remember that local area LOS’s shot a criminal somewhere near 90 times. When asked why they stopped shooting, the Sheriff said something to the effect of “Ran out of ammo”." That would be Polk County's Sheriff Grady Judd. I live here and heard him speak to our 912 group a few weeks ago. When I read this headline, I immediately thought of his reaction to any threat to his officers. I also have the audio of the shots fired at the perp you noted above. It was 110 shots in about 8 seconds. One of my close friends was in the group of officers but wasn't one firing.
