Good news.

'Cause there's no way she'd bring anything good to the ticket.

I thought all along it was she that was the sticking point. If she was willing he’d pick her in a heart beat.

I don’t think picking a black person for VP is going to impress blacks anyway. Just another black sister subservient to a white guy. From their point of view they are losing ground.

I think Condi would be an excellent choice. Those who say they will note note and unhappy with Romney really need to consider the next 4 years. Rush is right!!!

I think her value is as a Romney campaign surrogate. Hers is a unique voice with an interesting perspective. Just not VP.

This should be the end of it then. If she doesn’t want the job, we shouldn’t have to listen to it. I really can’t blame her though, I wouldn’t want to be a politician in this joint these days either. Who in their right mind would want to put themselves and their families through all the commie ‘RAT sh*t slinging by the ‘RAT toadies in the state run “media”.

Condi is like Newt, very knowledgeable but probably would serve best in an auxiliary capacity, not in the chain of command.

The day following the media's assault on him regarding the NAACP speech, he decided to float Condi's name, knowing she wouldn't take it.

I really hope he picks Ryan, Palin, or West..

Romney is no conservative.

Actually, Sarah was circumspect in her praise stating the obvious that Condi had more experience than Obama and would make a better VP than Biden. She did say that she wanted both on the ticket to be pro-life but it is Congress that would legislate any changes in abortion law.

She would’ve been an interesting counter to Hillary after 0bama drops Biden. I’m thinking the VP pick WILL be female, possibly Susan Martinez or Nikki Haley now.. Ryan would be great, as he would be a good ‘attack dog’ in a gentlemanly and intellectual manner.

I saw Sarah last night being asked about Condi. She did bring up the abortion issue. I suppose Condi could pretend to have a change of heart, just like George H. W. Bush pretended to in 1980 in order to be on the ticket with Ronald Reagan, but there are still lots of other reasons why Condi would be a bad choice.

Mitt is now claiming to be pro-life despite his past record...but conservatives would be even more skeptical of his sincerity on that issue if he picked a pro-abortion VP.

Dr. Rice has administrative, national security, and foreign affairs experience, and her qualifications easily exceed those of any of the three men currently running.

Regardless of how any of us feel about her as a candidate, it’s sad that her race and gender are mentioned before her accomplishments.

Who cares? Sarah was on a losing ticket.

There is absolutely no upside in digging up an old fossil from the Bush administration. Romney needs to completely separate himself from the Bush years.

No, but Condi makes a great decoy for the MSM to focus on for a couple of days! (I've thought that she doesn't seem to have the personality to want to wait around at the Naval Observatory for 8 years for Romney to choke on a pretzel.)

How about leaking Dick Cheney's name next? (THAT should drive the media completely bonkers!)

Exactly. Sarah is trying to show the RINOs that she is a team player, and that she will support their people this time. She expects support from them when it’s her turn, but I think it is unlikely she’ll get it. That’s not how they play the game.

A President and VP don’t have to agree on everything but a VP has to agree to work to enact any initiative the President pushes.

So if Romney picks a pro-life VP it can only mean he will ignore the issue during his term.

By your logic, whether Romney picks a pro-life VP or doesn't, he will ignore the issue...possibly that's true, but he can't win either way.

I would like to have another pro-life President like Reagan or the second Bush, but that only helps on the margins--the courts have taken it on themselves to impose pro-abortion policies on the nation and unless the pro-life side can get overwhelming support (to ratify a constitutional amendment) I don't see things getting much better.
