Condoleezza Rice: 'Perhaps We Will Decide There Needs to Be' Same-Sex Civil Unions
CNS News ^ | 7/13/12 | Patrick Burke

Posted on 07/13/2012 4:02:17 PM PDT by Nachum

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who reportedly is on Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's short list for a running mate, said in a December 2010 interview with Christianity Today that while she believes marriage is designed for a man and a woman "perhaps we will decide that there needs to be some way for people to express their desire to live together through civil union."

While discussing how faith has guided her positions on different issues, Rice was prompted by Christianity Today’s Sarah Pulliam Bailey to discuss same-sex marriage.

“Same-sex marriage is another issue that has captured the country's attention in recent years,” said Bailey.

Rice responded: “I have lots of respect for people on both sides of this divide, because there are really hard issues. I don't ever want anybody to be denied rights within our country.”

I have posted similar posts before, but I couldn’t resist writing again:

The Left’s culture is based upon moral relativism. It is a very seductive morality because it functions as a self centered pursuit of pleasure. Moral relativism is a set-up for Marxism. By making ones moral thinking no more important than the other you set the stage for political, economic, legal and material egalitarianism. Egalitarianism is a system which renders human beings as equal. To reach such a Utopian society, one utilizes the state to redistribute all aspects of human life until all are equal.

Just a side light: The goal of gay marriage is the egalitarian treatment of human relationships. When the gay relationship is equal to the heterosexual relationship, the egalitarian objective is accomplished.

The opposition by the gay community and their abortionist cohorts to the Christian Church is an effort to transform society by either eliminating or retooling the Church. When you put everything they are doing into one description, they are minimizing the importance of life that is produced by the relationship between a man and a woman. Once life is redefined by the egalitarian paradigm, life does not have any more protection or significance than that which is determined by the state.

Life produced by a man and a woman no longer has that level of significance that our culture has given it through the ages. This is a part of the Marxist strategy. Human life must no longer have that transcendent importance that sets it above the state. Human life is now the property of the state to define as it wants and to use as it sees fit.

As the love relationship of heterosexual marriage and the beginning of human life are being attacked by the Marxist’s effort to transform our society, one can only wonder what’s next?

Palin is wrong on this one. Condi would be terrible. There are so many better more aggressive, go on offense conservatives that we need to push the agenda rather than waste time defending the Bush years.

Perhaps We Will Decide There Needs to Be' Same-Sex Civil Unions

Perhaps we will decide there needs to be P/M "civil unions"...

Where a male pervert marries a female pervert, and then they can carry on with whomever, 10 different partners a night, same-sex, anything that walks, without jealousy.

And they could enjoy all the economic benefits as anyone else...you know, equal rights.

Oh, I know, we could call it...marriage.

Anybody who supports Rice needs to watch this video and look how absolutely giddy she is about Obama getting elected. As an African hyphen American she is proud of America electing Obama. No thanks. I really respected her in the Bush years. I don’t really care about her color or sexual preference. This is all I need to know.

You write “Palin is getting (lots) of opposition from some.”

As much as I would like to see her as president, running as someone’s VP twice seems kind of weak to me and would diminish her street cred, IMO. We need her to keep as much credibility as possible. Whatever possible role she can play, I think her time for VP is over.

I said it was a trial balloon earlier, and it was. And it popped.

Look, homosexuals can do whatever they want in our society if they’re adults.

We are not obligated and need not be obligated and ought not be obligated and will never be morally obligated to celebrate their behavior.

Shame has been perverted along with sexuality in our world...some people act ashamed if they are traditional Christians, heterosexual, and patriotic.

Hollywood and the fakes masquerading as “journalists” in America are have made being homosexual, perverted, anti-Christian and America-hating to be something to be PROUD about (see: the Democrat party).

Commencement Address at Boston College (Secretary Condoleezza Rice, Boston, Massachusetts, May 22, 2006. US Department of State)

Excerpts:

As a student of a Catholic high school, the Sisters of Loretta taught me, I am pleased to be at an institution of higher education with such strong and celebrated Catholic and Jesuit traditions . . . You see, I got my Master's Degree at Notre Dame. (Boos.) I acquired a passion for the fighting Irish . . . and my family has been college educated and Presbyterian ever since. (Laughter and applause.) . . . I wandered into a course on international politics taught by a Czech refugee who specialized in Soviet studies, a man who had a daughter by the name of Madeleine Albright. With that one class, I was hooked. I discovered that my passion was Russia and all things Russian.

Little is known of Rice’s personal life, except that she has never been married. She is reportedly a good ice skater and a knowledgeable football fan, and she dated the Denver Broncos’ Rick Upchurch while she was attending the University of Denver. She once owned a house and shared a line of credit with another woman, Stanford co-worker and documentary filmmaker Randy Bean, although the nature of their partnership remains unknown. More recently, she occasionally had football executive Gene Washington on her arm when she attended State Department events, but their relationship was described only as “cordial”. At a dinner party while Rice was National Security Advisor, she referred to President George W. Bush as “my husband” before abruptly correcting herself.

Yeah, I know. If Condi gets the nod, we get her brand of Israel-hate instead of Obama's.

The only answer I can give is when Israel went into Lebanon during operation Cast-lead, they gave Israel some time to do what they needed. In any event, Romney seems to throw the Arabs into a panic over Israel. At this point, not many other options.

She is also a classical pianist of high quality with expertise in the music of Brahms. During the Bush years, she accompanied cellist Yo-Yo Ma in the Brahms F Major Cello Sonata at a White House concert. Yo-Yo thought she did a great job at the piano.

I am very disappointed in Condi with the revelations about her since the Bush years. I think it was an effort to distance herself from 2008 Republican debacle and get on with her life in the liberal world of academia. Maybe she was upset that McCain picked Sarah Palin instead of her. Somehow, I think she has lost her way and will do no good for the Conservative cause. I might look at her book, No Higher Honor, but I will do with skepticism.

No way will she be Mitt's running mate.

If you look up the word “randy” in your Funk & Wagnalls you will find that it means......paraphrased: horny, boistrously sexual, pushy in a sexual nature...” A male animal that agressively pursues females, even when they’re not in season would be considered “randy”.

If you’ve ever seen a buck rabbit when he’s putting pressure on a doe that’s not really “in the mood” you’ll know where the term “Thumper” came from. I’m amazed that Disney used that name for the rabbit in BAMBI, knowing what it connotes in real life. And I’m amazed that some straitlaced do-gooder hasn’t complained about it.

And back to Ms. Rice’s (Butch?) live-in named Randy; Methinks little hoity-toity Condoleeza may be a poster girl for “ya’ can’t judge a book by its cover!”

There have long been rumors about Condi Rice’s sexual orientation. When Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) made reference in a senate hearing that Condi wouldn’t have children, so she would never be faced with making the ultimate sacrifice of losing a son or daughter to war, many Beltway insiders assumed Boxer had taken a swipe at Condi’s closeted gay life and indirectly outed her.

Recently, author Michelangelo Signorile sat down with Washington Post diplomatic correspondent Glenn Kessler, whose new book, The Confidante: Condoleezza Rice and the Creation of the Bush Legacy, for an interview. The revelations were, stunning, to say the least.

Most note worthy is the news that Rice’s “closest male friend” is openly gay, a man by the name of Coit D. Blacker, a Stanford professor (Rice served as the provost as Stanford in the late 1990s for six years) and a Democrat who served in the Clinton administration. Blacker, whose partner is also mentioned, advised Al Gore’s campaign in 2000, while his close friend Rice served as a chief confidante for a president who has tried to make gays into second class citizens in the U.S. Constitution.

But here’s the kicker.

Rice’s “closest female friend” is a woman named Randy Bean, who is unmarried and whose sexual orientation is not stated. She is described as a “liberal progressive;” and a documentary filmmaker who works at Stanford University. She and Rice and Blacker (again, who has a partner) are discussed as a “second family,” a term Bean uses, also saying that, “on friends, [Rice] goes narrow and deep.”

According to newly revealed information in the book (which Kessler found through real estate records), the two women, Rice and Bean (yes, hilarious), own a home together and have a line of credit together.
