Condoleezza Rice: 'Perhaps We Will Decide There Needs to Be' Same-Sex Civil Unions
CNS News ^ | 7/13/12 | Patrick Burke

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who reportedly is on Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's short list for a running mate, said in a December 2010 interview with Christianity Today that while she believes marriage is designed for a man and a woman "perhaps we will decide that there needs to be some way for people to express their desire to live together through civil union."

While discussing how faith has guided her positions on different issues, Rice was prompted by Christianity Today’s Sarah Pulliam Bailey to discuss same-sex marriage.

“Same-sex marriage is another issue that has captured the country's attention in recent years,” said Bailey.

Rice responded: “I have lots of respect for people on both sides of this divide, because there are really hard issues. I don't ever want anybody to be denied rights within our country.”

She shares a house and bank account with a woman named Randy.

And, Randy Bean was a former producer for Bill Moyers! Moyers is so leftist that there is no life where he is.

You write “Palin is getting (lots) of opposition from some.”

As much as I would like to see her as president, running as someone’s VP twice seems kind of weak to me and would diminish her street cred, IMO. We need her to keep as much credibility as possible. Whatever possible role she can play, I think her time for VP is over.

I said it was a trial balloon earlier, and it was. And it popped.

Look, homosexuals can do whatever they want in our society if they’re adults.

We are not obligated and need not be obligated and ought not be obligated and will never be morally obligated to celebrate their behavior.

Shame has been perverted along with sexuality in our world...some people act ashamed if they are traditional Christians, heterosexual, and patriotic.

Hollywood and the fakes masquerading as “journalists” in America are have made being homosexual, perverted, anti-Christian and America-hating to be something to be PROUD about (see: the Democrat party).

Commencement Address at Boston College (Secretary Condoleezza Rice, Boston, Massachusetts, May 22, 2006. US Department of State)

Excerpts:

As a student of a Catholic high school, the Sisters of Loretta taught me, I am pleased to be at an institution of higher education with such strong and celebrated Catholic and Jesuit traditions . . . You see, I got my Master's Degree at Notre Dame. (Boos.) I acquired a passion for the fighting Irish . . . and my family has been college educated and Presbyterian ever since. (Laughter and applause.) . . . I wandered into a course on international politics taught by a Czech refugee who specialized in Soviet studies, a man who had a daughter by the name of Madeleine Albright. With that one class, I was hooked. I discovered that my passion was Russia and all things Russian.

I think the first criteria in picking a VP nominee is someone who hasn't voted for your opponent.

Yay, another wise retard speaks up. Sometimes its best to just keep the mouth shut!!!

Good news? After all is said and done, one generation of same sex and its basically over. And then society has to deal with the mistake and implications of short sighted politicians ~ and stupid people~ from today.

Marriage and its laws were made for a reason.

Little is known of Rice’s personal life, except that she has never been married. She is reportedly a good ice skater and a knowledgeable football fan, and she dated the Denver Broncos’ Rick Upchurch while she was attending the University of Denver. She once owned a house and shared a line of credit with another woman, Stanford co-worker and documentary filmmaker Randy Bean, although the nature of their partnership remains unknown. More recently, she occasionally had football executive Gene Washington on her arm when she attended State Department events, but their relationship was described only as “cordial”. At a dinner party while Rice was National Security Advisor, she referred to President George W. Bush as “my husband” before abruptly correcting herself.

Yeah, I know. If Condi gets the nod, we get her brand of Israel-hate instead of Obama's.

The only answer I can give is when Israel went into Lebanon during operation Cast-lead, they gave Israel some time to do what they needed. In any event, Romney seems to throw the Arabs into a panic over Israel. At this point, not many other options.

She is also a classical pianist of high quality with expertise in the music of Brahms. During the Bush years, she accompanied cellist Yo-Yo Ma in the Brahms F Major Cello Sonata at a White House concert. Yo-Yo thought she did a great job at the piano.

I am very disappointed in Condi with the revelations about her since the Bush years. I think it was an effort to distance herself from 2008 Republican debacle and get on with her life in the liberal world of academia. Maybe she was upset that McCain picked Sarah Palin instead of her. Somehow, I think she has lost her way and will do no good for the Conservative cause. I might look at her book, No Higher Honor, but I will do with skepticism.

No way will she be Mitt's running mate.

If you look up the word “randy” in your Funk & Wagnalls you will find that it means......paraphrased: horny, boistrously sexual, pushy in a sexual nature...” A male animal that agressively pursues females, even when they’re not in season would be considered “randy”.

If you’ve ever seen a buck rabbit when he’s putting pressure on a doe that’s not really “in the mood” you’ll know where the term “Thumper” came from. I’m amazed that Disney used that name for the rabbit in BAMBI, knowing what it connotes in real life. And I’m amazed that some straitlaced do-gooder hasn’t complained about it.

And back to Ms. Rice’s (Butch?) live-in named Randy; Methinks little hoity-toity Condoleeza may be a poster girl for “ya’ can’t judge a book by its cover!”

Doesn’t she live with a woman ?

Ditto!

That one of the reason she doesn't want the VP slot. As quiet as it's kept, Condo Rice plays for the other team.

Gov. Palin played this just right. If she had said anything negative or disagreed with anything that would be the news for the next week.

Palin knows that Rice ain’t going to be pick.
