More bad news for the Kennedys: Kerry Kennedy, the ex-wife of Gov. Cuomo and daughter of the late Robert F. Kennedy, was arrested Friday morning on drug-related charges.
Kennedy was nabbed by State Police after taking off following a collision with a tractor-trailer on I-684 in the town of North Castle in Westchester County.
State Police said they found Kennedy, 52, sitting behind the wheel of her disabled 2008 Lexus RS 350 on state Route 22. The car had sustained damage, including a flat tire.
An investigation is said to have found Kennedy had been operating the car while her ability was impaired by drugs.

Kennedy is the sister of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., whose wife, Mary, recently hanged herself.

Update: Kennedy spokesman Ken Sunshine said in a statement, “Kerry Kennedy voluntarily took breathalyzer, blood and urine tests – all of which showed no drugs or alcohol whatsoever in her system. The charges were filed before the test results were available.”

According to WABC in NY, Kennedy told the officers she had taken an ambien — a powerful prescription sleeping pill.

Presumably, non-morons are excluded from journalism. There is no such thing as a “Lexus RS 350”. Maybe the national car of affluent middle-class suburbs is meant, the Lexus RX350.
