THE PRESIDENT: Hello, Roanoke! (Applause.) It is good to be back in Roanoke! Good to be back in Virginia. (Applause.) Back in the Star City.
There are a couple of people I want to acknowledge. First of all, you've got one of the finest senators and public servants in the country in Mark Warner. Give it up for Mark Warner. (Applause.) Now, Mark was a great governor for the Commonwealth of Virginia, and now he's a great senator. I just want to point out we've got another great governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia who is going to be a great senator in Tim Kaine. (Applause.) We are thrilled to have them both with us today.
I want to thank Mayor David Bowers who's here. (Applause.) City Manager, Christopher Morrill. (Applause.) Fire Chief, David Hoback. (Applause.) And we've got former Majority Leader of the House of Delegates, Dick Cranwell is here. (Applause.)
And all of you are here. (Applause.) Couldn’t ask for a nicer setting. It is beautiful flying in to Roanoke.
Now, let me just say, unless you have managed to break your television set -- (laughter) -- you're probably aware that it is campaign season. And I know it's not always pretty to watch. We're seeing more money flooding into the system than ever before, more negative ads, more cynicism. A lot of the reporting is just about who's up and who's down in the polls instead of talking about the things that matter in your day-to-day life.

True, but coming on the heels of Biden’s “educable” comment, it’s pretty odd. Remember the random, out-of-nowhere “contraception” thing that bloomed into the “war on women”?
This smells odd.
Who is this guy? A game show host? A DJ? An announcer in a strip club? What kind of idiom is this for the president and leader of the free world? Can you imagine any other president speaking like this?

The game is called Welcome to Marxism. Just spin the wheel & get free shiite every time it stops.
All you have to do to qualify for the show is pledge your soul to the state. Once you have done that you can spin for your free shiite.
Taxpayers are not eligible for the show or for free shiite.

I recall some commentary during the last election when he sounded almost like a middle of the road candidate...once the election day was over, off came the mask.
Taken at face value, you might say "well yeah, the kid has to want to learn, personal responsibility..." but he's not talking about taking personal responsibility. He's talking about shifting blame for an obvious problem: failing schools. You see, he specifically exempts spending from the problem, and implicitly exempts teachers and their unions, the beneficiaries of that spending. The point is "spending is good, more spending is better. If it's not working the problem is the kids. Maybe even more spending would take care of that."
But schools in city centers have a clientele of Get Rich or Die Trying’ types. Being smart is acting White.
So, 0bama, mighty one. Just levy a tax on those who can’t pass a test and their parents too. It is just an Executive Order away.
