No, citizen, you have it all wrong. Failure is caused by greedy businessmen, probably like you. Those unwilling to submit, I mean unwilling to work for the common good, yeah, that's it.
Perhaps a few years at a re-education camp are in your future.

OK, I'll sit here and wait until Obama gives me a Business.
I think “Business” is Obamaspeak for Disability, Unemployment, Food Stamps and Welfare.
If that's the case, Obama is a combination of Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Donald Trump.

Is this a satire article? That was my thought exactly and I paged back up to see if this was a John Semmens semi-news article. But no, our economically and fiscally illiterate president really said that. The man is an utter fool as well as a liar.

That's why Zero must go!
As bad as Romney is and he is bad he is preferable to Zero.
Without the constraint of a reelection you have hit the nail on the head; Zero's 2nd term will make the first term look conservative. Even with a GOP Congress s restraining him, he will always be able to one double down and dare them to impeach and remove him! And we all know that will not happen! You might get a bill of impeachment like it was down with Slick but I doubt it. The reasons is obvious you are NOT going to get 60 votes in the Senate to remove him! So why do it! Romney can be restrained by a desire for a 2nd term. Also I doubt if anyone has the stomach for another House session where the best you can get is mark Zero with a "Scarlett I". Take Zero's law license there is nothing to take its already been taken!
Romney to me is a Romneyan, he has no ideology other then himself which to me is bad enough. (This tells me he is just walking talking pillar of personal ambition!) However I think we can work with that! Use his desire to be a success meaning a 2nd term to force him down a conservative path. It won't be perfect but few things are.

One of the jobs my great grandfather had was in spite of government. He worked for the Purple gang during prohibition.
My other great grandfather started as a surveyor for a company hanging the first long distance phone and power lines across Michigan’s upper peninsula. When he reached the end of the line he went back to where he started and went to work as a lineman. Lineman / electrician is what he did for the rest of his life.

The way socialists see things, nobody ever did anything for themselves. Which is technically true. Unless you live in the wilderness of course. But using their devious logic, since people who live in societies rely on others, whatever you own belongs to everybody else. So if you worked hard, saved, invested, and found yourself after a long period of deferred gratification, with a million bucks or so, you really don’t own it. Because you couldn’t have done it without the help of other people. So let Big Government take care of that “unearned” dough you accumulated...we’ll redistribute it (Obama’s own words) to the right people...you awful capitalist pig you.

These are the words of a man who’s never built something, never taken a risk, never sweated having to make a payroll in his life. I lost a long time partner position back in 2007 at age 47. With nowhere to go I started my own business from scratch - no partners, no investors, no loans... just me (and my family who supported me every step of the way. My wife was my office manager) I gambled everything I owned - my retirement, my house, everything. Talk about fear and stress- it’s a situation he’ll never know. But risk and hard work, prayer and help from my Savior (who really gets all the credit) paid off. For him and his kind to try and take some credit for what I and my wife sweat blood for is really just breathtaking. These people are truly evil.

“sounds like Elizabeth Pow Wow Chow Warren”
You beat me to it. Obama, Warren, Alinsky - all the dems - they are all reading from the same Marxist playbook. Their looniness is incredible.
These were her remarks from almost a year ago:
I hear all this, you know, Well, this is class warfare, this is whatever. No. There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own nobody.
You built a factory out there? Good for you. But I want to be clear. You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for. You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate. You were safe in your factory because of police-forces and fire-forces that the rest of us paid for. You didnt have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory and hire someone to protect against this because of the work the rest of us did.
Now look, you built a factory and it turned into something terrific, or a great idea. God bless keep a big hunk of it. But part of the underlying social contract is, you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along.

Actually, Gubmint created nothing. Whether it be weapons, rockets, internet, whatever, they contracted out to PRIVATE companies to develop what the Government wanted....then, they chose (whether honestly or corruptly is another matter). It was a small car-maker who developed the Jeep in 90 days before World War II. It was a luxury boat maker named Higgins in New Orleans who developed the Higgins Boats. It was private initiative that led to all the modern conveniences we rely upon today.

Amen to that!
We run a family business. Our success is OUR OWN.
I’m seeing red right now. Comments like this from the leader of your nation is enough to make you want to give up all hope, especially when people actually AGREE with him.
Nothing is going to change the direction this country is headed until all the hard workers go broke and quit trying. It’s going to have to crash and burn so that the idiots who believe life is a handout finally have to work to physically survive. Nothing else can change this. Which really depresses me, because all of us who work will have to lose everything right along with them and the only thing we will be able to do is shake our heads in sadness and say “I told you so.”

I guess Karl Marx would say that one's business was built by the workers whose labor was exploited by the owner.
So I guess in this frame of reference it makes perfect sense that Obama would say something like this as that is the prism through which he views the world.

Here's another choice little nugget:
"Not every government program works the way its supposed to. And frankly, government cant solve every problem. If somebody doesnt want to be helped, government cant always help them."
See, when government fails to solve a problem, it's the people's fault, not the government's.
To: Lazamataz
Pretty weak take, Laz.
The things he refers to are available to all Americans. However, only those who get off their asses and do something with their lives are the ones with whom he has a problem.

"Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet"
You ignorant sack o' Kenyan monkey shit, the Internet was originally ARPANET created by DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency), for developing a means of communications in a post-nuclear strike world (among other purposes). The government didn't invent the Internet so "companies could make money".

These stories are repeated, or should I say rhythemed and rhymed, throughout our history. Most of America do not know the stories of the men and women who enslave themselves to a business for a future payoff while betting the farm to make it happen.
