and I thought the Joker was only a cartoon figure in Batman.

“National Socialism, citizen, National Socialism:”
All real world socialism is national socialism, just as all real world capitalism is crony capitalism.
There is no easy path - history is tragedy, not comedy.
He's a Genius! No, that's not why the Internet was created, Mr. President. Pick up a book sometime; learn some history.
And government created the land so you could build houses and buildings...and government created the seas so you could fish and swim... and government created space so you could speak on cell phones.
The guy is so misinformed it’s bordering on ignorance. The internet was a way of passing text information across wires. It was not until Marc Andreeson created Mosaic that images could be passed. It was small business people and creative types who went to business and sold them on the concept of the internet as a communications vehicle - not Bill Clinton. American small business sees an invention and converts it into amazing things - corporations usually come along kicking and screaming and government moves so slow that if we waited for it to provide what Obama thinks it provides, we would all still be amazed at the new lightbulb thingy.
How would he know? He’s never run so much as a hotdog stand!!
He’s a tyrant and a fool.
I notice he is not using an example from his own administration.
Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded here and there, now and then are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as “bad luck.”

Trying to figure how the government made my father the success that he was. The only credit the government gets is to allow my father to become a citizen from his Displaced Person passport less status as a Holocaust survivor.
It was my dad who saw the kids going to UCLA and said, I want that too. And it was my dad, no government program, who went out and got three jobs to pay for college. He studied hard, helped coach the cricket team, went to med school, got his licenses, and hung out his own medical shingle. Where is the government in all this?
As much as I don’t like Mitt, I could never imagine him saying anything remotely close to this.
muawiyahah wrote” I hope you didn’t imagine there were American made incandescent lightbulbs.”
??????My son has worked for Osram for twenty five years. Up until the Government decreed that incandescent lighbulbs would be phased out; the factory made these little glass things I could have sworn were incandescent bulbs. Where did you say you’re from? ;)
spoken like someone who has never built anything, much less a business . . .
"If you've been successful, you didn't get there on your own. You didn't get there on your own."
"I'm always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something -- there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there."
"If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. If youve got a business -- you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen."
My jaw is still on the floor. This is like a scene out of Atlas Shrugged.
This comes from the one who took over GM, poured our tax dollars into it so they could create jobs in Mexico.
Many business owners refuse to hire until after the election (if at all...).
He's up a crik without a paddle.
In the 1960’s, my father gambled everything he had on starting his own excavation/construction business. We have had up to 100 employees and right now are down to about 30. When we were kids, we weren’t sure what our dad looked like with a clean face & he always smelled like diesel. He is past his mid 70’s now and has Parkinson’s & still wants to run a dozer, but can’t anymore. The government didn’t have a damn thing to do with his success, but it just might cause the business to close if we have a few more years like those BHO has handed us. Son of a bitch.
I can’t believe that this is happening in this country. This is the kind of stuff the socialists used to whisper to each other about around the water cooler, now they’re shoving it front and center in people’s faces.
If you start a business and it fails, well hell, it was all on you, if you start a business and it succeeds...”you didn’t do it by yourself and couldn’t have without the government pulling you by the britches.”
I’m pretty disgusted.
If I recall correctly, the first image online was the moonrocks. It took ages to load. That might be due to the fact that a lot of people really wanted to see this image of moonrocks.
