Lesbian demands commitment ceremony with partner be permitted at Mississippi museum

JACKSON, Miss. — A lesbian who sued her school district in 2010 after she was left out of the high school yearbook for wearing a tuxedo is demanding the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum permit a commitment ceremony for her and her partner.

The Southern Poverty Law Center sent a letter to the museum on Thursday on behalf of Ceara Sturgis, 20, and threatened to sue if the facility doesn’t allow Sturgis and her partner, 19-year-old Emily Key, to hold the ceremony there on Aug. 11.

The letter said Sturgis and her mother, Veronica Rodriguez, are both from Jackson and want the ceremony at the museum’s Masonic Hall so friends and relatives can attend.

I’ve been married to the same wonderful man for 26 years. You just have to be picky and know what you are looking for. But even if I was single all those years nothing would make me consider a same sex relationship.

You know, the problem could be that men are such tyrants, rude, don’t call, can’t stay zipped up, yell to have it their way or the highway, make the lives of women and children miserable, drink, drug and these gals need to have love from somewhere.

I would never describe myself as "Christ like," but I had none of the characteristics you describe and I went through years of lonelyness, disappointement, and frustration as I watched woman after woman that I had a crush on leave me in the dust so they could do hook-ups with rude tyrants who couldn't stay zipped up.

Finally, I found a woman from another country and another culture. We've been married 21 years this month.

The fact that so many American women are immature, spoiled little brats who have been raised to think of themselves as "princesses" may have something to do with your problem. Look into yourself.

There was a time when men were taught to respect women, to support them and to protect them. Not all men, but that was what society expected from them. Let's examine what society now expects from them:

Respect: Society has turned sexual morality upside down. Women are expected to engage in casual sex with many, many different partners throughout their lives. Is is any wonder that men don't respect women?

Support: By law, women are given preference in hiring and promotions, in college grants and admissions--more than 50% of all college students are female, and they are encouraged to give their careers priority over their families. Where is the incentive to support your competition?

Protect: Society is training out of males their protective instinct. Every profession associated with protecting the weak is no longer a male profession.

.

Women's "liberation" has taken a good idea and ended up throwing out the baby with the bath water. The results are legions of confused, unhappy men and women.

I agree wholeheartedly with your call for more Christ-like men, but that is only half the equation. We also need more Christ-like women.

I have observed that phenomenon. Too many American women have been taught to "follow their hearts"--a euphemism for being ruled by one's idiotic emotions and a staple among romantic comedies and Disney Princess movies.

"Women are expected to engage in casual sex with many, many different partners throughout their lives.

In r-selected organisms, females mate with as many males as possible to create offspring with a diverse array of genes. In an r-selective environment, this is advantageous. In a K-selective environment, it is not, as each female does better by monogamously bonding to as fit a male as possible.

"...women...are encouraged to give their careers priority over their families. "

In r-selection females provide for and raise offspring alone, since males don't invest in offspring.

"Protect: Society is training out of males their protective instinct. Every profession associated with protecting the weak is no longer a male profession."

In r-selection, sexual dipmorphism reverses, as females become large and aggressive to better provide for and protect their young (since they do it alone), and males become weaker and more timid to avoid danger, so they can maximize mating opportunities.

Every aspect of politics, as well as the change in our nation relates to r/K selection Theory in Evolutionary Biology. Liberals are the r-selected bunny rabbit people, while Conservatives are the K-selected Lions.

All of this will be reversed like magic, once the economy collapses, and conditions once again turn K-selective.

Interesting theory. Do you plan to publish an eBook version?

So now flower girls are out of a job with these weddings. From now on it will be a little Dutch boy.

Come quickly, K-selective economy.

LOL

It will inevitably come. In other species in nature, the real purpose of r-types is to quickly build up the population during resource abundance. Their real purpose is to produce the overpopulation which forces competition for limited resources, and K-selection. Sooner or later, the population runs out of free resources, and K-selection returns.

It’s exactly the same here, except we have staved off the resource limitation for an extended period with technology and foreign debt. But the K-selection is still coming, in the form of an inevitable economic collapse, and it will be only worse because of its delay.

At least what the average Liberal is today, will once again become a ridiculous caricature, and we can again return to dealing with each other logically.

Best news I have heard in a long time. Will be well worth the suffering. Bring it on.

A lesbian wants to be committed to a musueum? Why? Are lesbians about to become extinct? Are lesbian partners an endangered species?
