Though the Bible says, “If any would not work, neither should he eat,” in Obama’s horrible economy, there are no jobs, so we do have to have food assistance.
However, it ought to be given in the form of commodities that the poor would pick up after showing proof of citizenship....eggs, flour, sugar, apples, milk, those sorts of things. It would be up to the poor to physically procure and prepare these foods in order to eat. There would be no plastic cards to sell for cash, or guns, or drugs or prostitutes, just food to prepare for themselves and their families.
The druggies might starve, but they obviously don’t want to live anyway.

I like how they're standing around with $$$ worth of "product" and dye in their hair, and their nails done up.....but they don't have money for food. If it was up to me, they'd eat that damn hair product, dye, and jewelry long before taxpayers were extorted to pay.
I also like the one that had SIX HOURS to stand around and wait at the grifter office......hmmm funny she can't spend that time working at a JOB!!!!!!!

I think you might be lucky that she didn’t use the latest and priciest smartphone (remember the Gore Tax to provide cell phones to the professionally poor) to call her friends for a meetup outside the store. After all, these are not “normal” people.
Friday I encountered a couple of long-haired patchouli stinkers outside my local grocery begging money for the “food bank”.
I asked them if that food went to poor people.
“Of course it does.”
“Just about all of the ‘poor people’ I see around here are morbidly obese including the kids. I think they need a lot less food. Have a nice day...”
Just FYI there are two kinds of “EBT” cards. One, the SNAP Card does have restrictions on the food items that can be purchased. That is the old Food Stamps card.
The other card looks like the one above but is a welfare payment of cash that can be used for anything.
So it would depend on which card the individual was using.
Around here I’ve seen people use both at the same time.
What chaps my but is when they drive off in a better car than mine.

Yes well I do to but I was unprepared to handle the resulting hurricane of racial hatred that was thrown about. The food stamp lady did make quite a fool of herself doing that - and that was the intent per Mrs. Principled in the car explaining herself.

What is a shame? It more than likely will eliminate a source for smokes and booze for many of the 3 million...and the kids of illegals can go back to Mexico for the handouts there. But be sure they take Mom/Pop Illegal back with them when they go.

We will doing checks on all applicants. You will not be single or a married couple with no children. You will not own or possess: cellphones, i-pads, computers, tvs beyond cheap portables with antennas, expensive jewelry, clothes, furniture, cars, etc. If we find you possess or own any of these items and other non-essential items, we will fine you and throw you in prison for a period of time between 5 and 10 years. Now, do you still want to apply food stamps?
