Where’s Palin’s convention invite? (GOP-E Snubs her, as Expected)
Yahoo! News ^ | July 16, 2012 | Joel Roberts

Mitt Romney currently has no plans to give Sarah Palin a role at the 2012 Republican National Convention. In fact, John McCain's 2008 running mate hasn't even been invited to the GOP soiree in Tampa, reports Newsweek's Peter J. Boyer.

"Palin would certainly light up the base at the convention … but a jolt of Palin at Romney's convention seems most unlikely," Boyer writes. "The Romney campaign prides itself on a slavish adherence to script, and Palin cannot be trusted to avoid the impulse to go rogue."

The GOPe and Mr. RomneyCARE may take a ‘pass’ on Obama
(since they share the same dreams), but they will
NEVER give any conservative or Gov. Palin a break.

In 2012, the GOPe’s ONLY signature achievements
remain: DEATH PANELS and Institutionalized Backstabbing.

Once again, it is clear that the GOPe and Mr. RomneyCARE
intend to lose, and lose big (after Mr. RomneyCARE
again takes all the money).

Palin, Gingrich, Cain, and Trump would get republicans to march to the polls with torches and pitchforks in hand ready to do battle.

Who exactly will be speaking in prime time?? Pawlenty? Portman? Thune? Snore!!

Nothing will change my mind to vote ABO, but what a JERK. I’ve said that rather than vote for zer0, I’d vote for the constants of my septic tank. Looks like that’s what I’m doing...

Do you actually believe Palin stories from the left wing Newsweek and Politico?

Any remaining doubts as to the true intentions of Bishop Willard from Planet Kolob should vanish.

You watch, when Romney starts losing ground in the polls (something I'm not hoping for but nothing I'd pay with my time or money to see him a avoid either) he'll be answering those Mark Levin calls and calling into Rush Limbaugh's show and calling secret meetings with Palin to try to save himself.

No BIG loss for Palin. Besides, we need her to help us win seats for real conservatives in the House and Senate.

RINOmney is still a vapid dork.

He will lose to the most incompetent cretin that ever walked the earth.

I am still a conservative, but am no longer a republican.

One evidently has to get de-balled before being allowed to become a republican.

From what I read, Pawlenty’s name will be on the ticket. There’s a middle finger to the Tea Party, let’s return in kind.

Puh-leeze...it's a well known fact that the GOP-E uses both Politico and Newsweek for its hatchet work. And Palin herself even responded to Newsweek via email:

“What can I say?” she responded in an email from Alaska, when asked by Newsweek about the convention, just before heading to Michigan to deliver an Obama-thumping speech. “I’m sure I’m not the only one accepting consequences for calling out both sides of the aisle for spending too much money, putting us on the road to bankruptcy, and engaging in crony capitalism. “In accepting those consequences,” she added, “one must remember this isn’t Sadie Hawkins and you don’t invite yourself and a date to the Big Dance.””

"The Romney campaign prides itself on a slavish adherence to script"

Control. "slavish adherence to script"...this should be a fun ride.

I think it’s a big mistake not to invite her and give her a speaking role. Because she’ll be there — maybe not at the convention site, but close by — and she will give a speech. And she’s far more likely to “go rogue” if she’s left on her own.

I have two questions - one, does Romney run the convention; and two, why do we allow the media to lead us around by the nose?

IF Romney could get Palin on his side, it would increase his chances exponentially.

When he tries to speak at the convention, the audience should unrelentlessly drown him out by chanting, “Palin, Palin, Palin...”.

If Sarah can’t speak for the conservatives, then Romney shouldn’t be allowed to speak either!

It’s an Obama-tactic...silencing the opposition.

The real reason is - narcissist that he is - just doesn’t want to be upstaged by her presence.

Didn't have to read it. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that Romney (and many of his supporters) want nothing more than to win the White House and be able to look at the Tea Party and say "See? We did it and we did NOT need you!"

It's no coincidence that the early Romneybots here in FR were the same ones who continuously bash Sarah Palin. They are country club republicans and despise conservatives.

It not Palin that would go rogue, but the entire GOPe is already a class of idiots and nothing could be more rogue than that. The GOPe are so far out of step with us voters that next year we should start a third party or work hard on kicking all the elites out of the GOP.

I doubt she’s even going-—she told Newsweek that she’s no Sadie Hawkins and won’t invite herself if the GOP-E does snub her.

I don’t have a reference handy, but I could swear I saw something a month or two ago that said she’s going to be in Tampa for the convention, regardless of whether or not she’ll be attending the convention itself.
