Where’s Palin’s convention invite? (GOP-E Snubs her, as Expected)
Yahoo! News ^ | July 16, 2012 | Joel Roberts

Mitt Romney currently has no plans to give Sarah Palin a role at the 2012 Republican National Convention. In fact, John McCain's 2008 running mate hasn't even been invited to the GOP soiree in Tampa, reports Newsweek's Peter J. Boyer.

"Palin would certainly light up the base at the convention … but a jolt of Palin at Romney's convention seems most unlikely," Boyer writes. "The Romney campaign prides itself on a slavish adherence to script, and Palin cannot be trusted to avoid the impulse to go rogue."

I haven’t seen any mention of that, Kev, but if you find it, please post since it will be interesting to see what her plans were and how they ultimately turn out.

>>> “ I have two questions - one, does Romney run the convention; and two, why do we allow the media to lead us around by the nose? “ <<<

1.)
Yes, Romney runs the convention, until he doesn’t. ( But, apparently with conservatives dropping like flies accepting the socialist on our ticket, convention upset and resistance will not be able to happen.) It will be a coronation, not a convention.

2.)
We are LEAD because we will follow, with NO resistance whatsoever, so far anyway. The convention is our last chance for a voice from the delegates of grassroots, the Tea Party and the activists. No sign yet of a will among any of them for a struggle against Romney the socialist.

They know that she would get ten times more applause than Rodney.

Palin, Gingrich, Cain, and Trump would get republicans to march to the polls with torches and pitchforks in hand ready to do battle. Who exactly will be speaking in prime time?? Pawlenty? Portman? Thune? Snore!!

Doesn't matter who speaks at the convention, the romney haters are not going to change their minds.

Hmmmm.....could be that she was anticipating some sort of invite then, but after it’s now become clear that she’s going to be snubbed, she’s content to stay in Wasilla and let the whole rotten GOP-E crash and burn.

Because she’ll be there — maybe not at the convention site, but close by

Ready to serve.

My guess is that Sarah will be there leading Tea Party followers ... whether the GOP establishment likes it or not.

I'm tempted to help her out.

I was at the Kennedy Library last week and they showed footage of Nixon being all nicey nicey at the debates. He lost that year. When he was an unrelenting attack dog in 68 and 72, he won.

Romney/Pawlenty will be like Dole/Kemp. Snoozeville. Somebody needs to start fighting. If only Romney would pretend Obama was Gingrich, an opponent in his way.

After she OK’d Condolezza Rice for VP, maybe she ought to be snubbed.

Maybe convention attendees would give Palin a more rousing reception than other ‘speakers’ will get?

I’m really getting tired of my vote and my values being taken for granted. When Romney gives his acceptance speech I’m checking other channels for wrestling or reruns of Gilligan’s Island.

No “Big Tent” here.

Hard core conservatives embarrass RINO’s and the republican establishment.

They have already forgotten who gave them the win in 2010.

They would rather be the big fish in the small pond and play second fiddle to democrats than lose any power to conservatives.

So that is what they do, year after year.

Romney is cutting off his nose to spite his face.

Absolutely stupid action or lack there of ...

Sarah could be drafted at the convention by vote, ... and he is afraid that might happen.

God bless America! ... and save us from the evil intended for America by the communist/ socialist, We need Sarah Palin to be front and center, standing for/with the people of America that are truly conservative and wanting to restore America to sound foundations.

It would appear you are a step behind me...

I stopped being a republican in 2004, and began to walk away from conservatism (the movement, not the philosophy) in 2006....

I am now a strict constitutionalist (small l libertarian)
