Senators Rob Portman (R-OH) and Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) agreed to vote NO on Land of the Sea Treaty (LOST) thus sinking democratic efforts to bring treaty up Wednesday - However, Sen. John Kerry (D., Mass.), the Foreign Relations Committee chairman, dismissed the public statements as election-season politicking, and vowed to keep fighting for the treaty. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, President Obama and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta are urging support for ratification. Below the letter listing Republican Senators who opposed the treaty:
