NEW YORK (AP) - After a confidential two-year review, the Boy Scouts of America on Tuesday emphatically reaffirmed its policy of excluding gays, ruling out any changes despite relentless protest campaigns by some critics.
An 11-member special committee, formed discreetly by top Scout leaders in 2010, "came to the conclusion that this policy is absolutely the best policy for the Boy Scouts," the organization' national spokesman, Deron Smith, told The Associated Press.

This tight on the heals of another post about a YAP (Yet Another Petition) being submitted to the BSA board. Guess I stay a Scout Master for the time being ;-)
God bless them for standing their ground.
Boy Scouting bump!
If the homos want to have a club like the Boy Scouts, let them start the “fabulous scouts” or, more probable, “rump rangers.”
If they eventually wear BSA down, BSA will cease to exist.
Which is their plan.
...for now and forever.
I don’t understand liberals who aren’t bothered by people who go to court to try to the “right” to take other people’s kids in the woods. This issue should be a non-starter.
It’s pitiful to think that the BSA has more moral courage than America’s mainline churches.
Didn’t Romney kick the Boy Scouts out of their duties at the Olympics?
Would that our churches be as worthy.
I donate money, resources, and time each year. The BSA just earned my donations for the year.
Excellent. Thank you sincerely, Boy Scout Leadership.
And despite pressures from ACLU and other fags, you will have the support of true blood Americans.
Why doesnt GLSEN just start its own “Scout” organization?
They have access to schools, they have tax exempt status, they have major league heavy hitter sponsors like Wells Fargo and Citi
“the Rump Rangers”
surely they can recruit leaders from NAMBLA
And thank God John Roberts wasn’t involved with the decision.
I’m not really in the business of defending Romney, but I think it was an age requirement that the Olympic Committee had in place for volunteers, no one under 18.
He’s gotten a pretty unfair shake on this.
The pro homo folks won’t give up just like they didn’t give up on forcing EHarmony to have a homo section despite them having plenty of their own degenerate sites.
They do not give up; it is literally a war until they can get it normalized and then they’ll move on to the next one. Either bestiality or pedophilia.
In light of the recent Jerry Sandusky/Penn State Business, shouldn’t this be the all time ‘no-brainer’?
Good! I guess there won’t be a sexuality merit badge in the near future.
May the Lord continue to bless you, Boy Scouts!
They should rename this “The Paterno Rule”...
Good for them. I can continue to support the Boy Scouts in good conscience while continuing to ignore the Girl Scouts for their support of all things liberal.
Finally, something to believe in.
The local news outlets here were hyping this as “promising changes in the BSA policy.” I really despise the news media to no end. They are the Left’s mouthpiece.
The churches have been infiltrated and corrupted from within as have the Audubon society Sierra Club and many other once great NGO’s.
The liberal scourge acts as a cancer by hiding inside and killing from within. Complacency and apathy are the root cause
Let me get this straight. As a man in my 30s, common sense says I shouldn’t be showering or sleeping in the same tent with a teen girl, the only exception being if that is my own daughter. The logic runs back the same way with the BSA. The BSA doesn’t want people who would be sexually attracted to be alone together. How much more common sense can this get?
WTH is wrong with no one under 18 being an Olympic Volunteer, setting up the Olympics sounds like a job for adults anyways. 2002 was a good year for plenty of the U.S. Winter Team anyways.
I didn’t agree or disagree with the decision.
Romney gets blamed for “kicking” the Scouts out of the Olympics when he had nothing to do with it, it was Olympic policy.
