Governor Palin Endorses Steelman in Republican Senate Primary
Market Watch ^ | July, 17, 2012 | Campaign

Posted on 07/17/2012 2:46:34 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Today United State Senate candidate from Missouri Sarah Steelman is proud to announce that she has earned the endorsement of former Governor and Vice Presidential Nominee, Sarah Palin. Steelman, whose willingness to fight the establishment has often drawn comparison to Governor Palin, believes this endorsement from such a strong conservative leader is evidence of her conviction to reform Washington D.C. and take back our country.

"I am deeply honored and humbled to have earned the endorsement of Governor Palin, whose willingness to stand up and fight for what is right, regardless of the political consequences, has blazed a trail for conservatives who believe as we do, that the status quo has got to go. I am ready to join Governor Palin and lead the fight in the Senate to restore fiscal discipline and speak truth to power by putting this country back into the hands of the people!" said Steelman.

Sarah Steelman requested Governor Palin's support at the onset of her campaign for US Senate. Today Governor Palin released the following statement in support of Sarah Steelman's campaign:

As we seek to fundamentally restore our great nation to strength and prosperity, we must send more commonsense conservatives to the U.S. Senate. We need sincere public servants who will fight for us, not the special interests and the permanent political class in Washington. Sarah Steelman will fight for all of Missouri and all of us, and that is why we must send her to D.C. this fall.

Sarah has run a grassroots campaign the way it should be run - handshake by handshake, voter by voter, farm to farm, not TV ad after TV ad...

Somewhere, in the dark recesses of Claire McCaskill’s mind, the sound of Palin’s voice echos, “Claiiiir Beaaaaaar...Claiiiir Beaaaaaaaar. We’re gonna get you”

The Missouri GOP establishment doesn’t like Steelman. That sounds like a ringing endorsement to me.

It did to me, too, when they told me at Rep. headquarters in 08 that she "doesn't play well with others". That was why I voted for her.

I just might do that very thing. I deeply regard Sarah Palin and her political acumen......but she’s not always totally accurate, witness Orin Hatch & John McCain.

She is more accurate than NOT!

What is Romney doing or what has he done for any candidate other than where it benefits HIMSELF? These past four years which includes 2010 she has helped MANY conservatives while Romney was trashing her 24/7 and using his pawns to do it and that includes her family he attacked! And then NO ONE HELPED HER!!

If you say McCain - I already know you are clueless when it comes to loyalty!!

So I’ll consider your post null and void because if I turn my back I couldn’t rely on you to watch it! bye!

I know nothing of steelman but that pix said something to me perhaps it is what you describe as that narcissistic streak. If there is a better candidate that you feel more sure of, I say go for it! We are all in this together!

Surprising most people on this thread are not pleased.

I hope they are for Akin and not Brunner.

I do not know that there is a better candidate than Sarah Steelman. Not aware of "narcissism" on her part.

1). Steelman strongly supports Right to Work legislation. At both Missouri level and National level. As a result, union bosses HATE her! See firedupmissouri.com for confirmation. Not a day goes by without unions pounding on her.

2).Tea Party Express endorsed her months ago.

3).She has been endorsed by 48 Conservative Missouri legislators.

4).Susan B. Anthony org. has endorsed her. Pro-Life group. Steelman favors total defunding of Planned Parenthood.

5).GOA/NRA will unhesitantly endorse her after she is nominated on August 7. She has been an unapoligetic supporter of RKBA for years now. Decades in fact. Has a track record.

6). Steelman favors "flattening" of the income tax and MAJOR reform/simplification of tax laws.

Does Sarah Steelman walk on water? Certainly not, but she sure is a STRONG conservative...

For starters, this is NOT about Romney, at least for me.

My comments were strictly about Sarah Steelman's not being the conservative in this race. My comments regarding Palin's support of Hatch are also about his not being the conservative in that race. I understand completely why she endorsed McCain but I still didn't have to like it as I truly though we had a good opportunity to take AZ in the general and be rid of McCain once and for all - but with her standing up for him, that was not to be.

As to Mitt, I have been one of his biggest non-supporters, so don't use him as a club to beat me with to support Sarah, as it's completely out of order. Search my tag line to see my negative comments re All things Mitt & LDS, friend.

Have a good day!

I don’t live in Missouri and never heard of steelman - but your description show some can’t let an opportunity go by w/o saying Sarah is wrong about something. And they keep count! Truly what little minds and pathetic lives they must have.

Thanks for the update on ‘strong’ Steelman.

Bury that bitterness friend.

It can't help you and for the record, I've been working to elect conservatives for more than 40 years and will be a delegate to the convention for the third time so take your attitude elsewhere.

Opinions differ. Get over it.

Tell the truth, and if the facts support the truth tell them. Stop sounding like little kids squabbling.
(I’m right you are wrong, and vice-versa.) Grow up!

We need to elect the most good, conservative, people possible.

You, obviously, can't keep up - I wasn't claiming to be right and I said I don't live in Missouri and never heard of Steelman. How did you, conveniently, not take that into your little 'opinion' on the matter?

We need to elect the most good, conservative, people possible.

WOW, another rocket scientist heard from! But you forgot your own words Opinions differ. Get over it.

Another one with a 'do as I say and not as I do' mindset!

Talk about childish rant that amounts to nothing!! All this because Palin endorse someone - after all she was wrong 'x' amount of times/let me count the ways. LOL!!!! Palin who? LOL!!!!

A spat or a few sharp words between husbands and wives occur and are usually senseless to any witness. Being based in on going differences. It seem foolish to take issue with another, especially on a thread, via boring put downs. Me or anyone else. Let it be.

We do not see our selves clearly.
Have a good day.
