Media Shields Obama from... Small Business Owners
Breitbart ^ | 7/17/12 | John Nolte

Posted on 07/17/2012 5:43:54 PM PDT by Nachum

Yesterday, I showed you how Slate's Dave Weigel and NBC's Peter Alexander worked together to journOlist away the Romney campaign's compelling and troubling evidence that the Obama White House has used billions in taxpayer dollars to pay off campaign supporters.

Today, I'm going to show you how the media is protecting Barack Obama from paying a political price, not only for these alleged payoffs, but also for Obama's off-teleprompter statement in which he said, "If you got a business, you didn’t build that -- somebody else made that happen."

On offense, the Romney campaign had hoped to capitalize on the President's VERY revealing statement with a conference call this morning. The call was led by Governor John Sununu, who was joined by four small business owners -- all of whom were furious over Obama's thoughtless comments.

Now, if you read and watch the same corrupt news outlets I do, all you've read or been told about this 30-minute call is that Sununu said he wished that Obama, "would learn how to be an American."

This article about the liberal media bias which favors Obama, brings up some questions...

If both Obama and Romney raise the same amount of money, which one has the advantage?

If Obama raises $300 million, and Romney raises $500 million, does Romney have an advantage?

So, what amount of money would Romney have to raise in order to get an advantage on Obama, or to just end up somewhat even?

My small business efforts flopped, Where the Hell was my help? Not that I wanted government help It would obviously come with strings attached.

All we got was tax collectors bent on getting every penny they thought they had coming.

There! that explains were Obama is coming from. The book was his only private enterprise experience.

I used to work in the media. Ever since Watergate I've observed that most mainstream outlets have shown increasingly overwhelming left wing bias. Their favorite ploy is to simply refuse to report any news that doesn't help their Democrat candidate. Journo-list has simply codified and organized that behavior.

I constantly see posters here exhorting Republican candidates to say this or do that to demonstrate Democrat dishonesty and perfidy. Folks, it really doesn't matter much what our people say or do because a very limited audience -- mainly people watching Fox News -- sees, hears or reads it. That little audience is the choir that's being preached to. If a tree falls in the forest does anyone hear? Certainly not the "undecided" voters who determine election outcomes these days. The Left has also done a brilliant job of demonizing and discrediting Fox News as "faux news" and in other clever but dishonest ways.

Progressives aka communists are much more media-savvy than Republicans/conservatives. The Left works from a time-honored propagandist methodology developed by Lenin, Mao, Goebbels, American advertising geniuses and American linguistics professor-members of the Modern Language Association. Truth is of no importance. The object is winning -- as the Progressives always say -- by any means necessary.

Political correctness is simply George Orwell's Newspeak by a non-threatening name. Remember? Hate is Love, War is Peace, etc.? It manipulates language to destroy literal truth and bend meaning to the politically desired end. Illegal aliens have become undocumented immigrants. I'll bet the plotters laugh at the success of that one over their Chardonnay and Brie. They've even got conservatives saying it for fear of being shunned and demonized by their social in-group.

I guess what I'm saying is that conservatives seem to be no match for the evil bastards on the Left when it comes to the media wars. I watched Bill O'Reilly interviewing Willie Brown last night. Willie danced verbal circles around Bill, sending out his code-worded Newspeak message to the faithful without Bill ever being aware he was being mocked, used and laughed-at. Each time I see poor Mitch McConnel struggling through a prepared statement as if it were a hated English composition assignment I despair. But I console myself a little by realizing that even if he was the world's greatest orator the journo-listed media wouldn't report what he said.

I would say people worth 50 Million Plus decided to give Pac's Money now.

The Plus Billionaires like Koch Brothers, Sheldon Adelson that's wealth is so vast when they decide to hit Obama they will hit him hard they didn't make their money without fights.

Then you have the average Billionaire will load up after Labor day.

I just hope the PACS are run well.

I don't think he understands that 100% of every dollar that the government receives comes from business activity. Not 99% -- 100%. Mostly through payroll taxes but taxes on business directly also. So I feel like I've built those roads and I feel like I've built those bridges and I feel I have a right to use them to try and make a better life for myself and my employees.

Obama and his suck-ups in the MSM will never understand...

Brit Hume had an interesting discussion of this on Greta’s show tonight—mentioned how the mainstream media has been trying to provide the “context” so that his remarks in Roanoke don’t sound so outrageous.

My Father and I both worked in the media, he newspapers, me radio, and what you say is absolutely true. My Father, a stanch Conservative, retired early back in the late '70s after becoming disgusted by all the new Liberal reporters coming on the scene after Watergate.

They have demonized FNC but still the # of people watching FOX nearly triples that of the 2 competitors compined, CNN and MSNBC (or whatever it is now called)

Yes, Fox News dominates on cable. But as I said, it preaches to the choir anyhow. Its viewership is tiny compared to the liberal broadcast networks: ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS etc. and the solidly leftist major newspapers and weekly mags. Unfortunately that’s where most of the “swing” voters get their slanted idea of the “news.”

I’m delighted to have you use it. Far too few people realize it — the process is subtle. As Rush has said for years: “Words mean things.”

Well, it's the "impossible" ones that worry me. If the conservative message is so influential why is it that the Democrats control the Senate and White House?

Yes, the PACS can get strong messages out via paid advertising. But the Left manages to focus its messages for overall effect while the conservative PACS tend to push only specific interests. Maybe it will be different this cycle.

I'm also a little concerned by what I see as a trend lately of the big broadcast networks declining certain advertising. It's usually advertising that runs against their political biases. With Obama's people running the FCC I see the potential for a lot of electoral mischief there.

Agreed but even so in likely voter polling to date Romney is leading among the Ind voters by anywheres from 8-14 points which for Obama is a stark reversal from 2008 when he carried them handily.

I believe the increasing use of the Internet based news services by ordinary people is badly hurting the Democrats because they can no longer effectively control their message.

I never put much stock in polls until after Labor Day.

Yes, the internet news is helpful but remember: both sides use it and the Lefties can skew the truth on line too. I'm not sure how it helps us get our message to the "undecided's." Most forums, like this one, also preach to the choir.

Before the use of the Internet surged to todays level the MSM disseminated all the news they wanted us to be aware of and all of it was biased.

We on the Right had nothing except talking to each other. So they had it all and we had virtually nothing and now they still have the networks and major newspapers but their reach is much less then it was. Perhaps much of that loss is made up by the Internet, however the gain is for the right because we have gone from nothing to quite a bit. Just consider DRUDGE. Over 30 MILLION hits daily and those who go there will see news and links to stories the liberal media will never report. Think also of all the Conservative sites which also carry information we never would have seen in years past.

When the Left lost control of the media they lost there ability to shape the issues as they once had. Because they depend on lies and double talk to get what they want the easy access to alternative and real facts contrary to their BS has hurt them badly.

I respect your point of view but you’re telling me things I already know. We disagree on the level of impact the ‘net is having for conservative causes. Yes, the internet — and conservative talk radio — gave conservatives new ways of reaching people and it’s been important in all subsequent elections. But the Left fought back with Huffpost and a plethora of Leftist sites like it and they have a big influence too. Maybe some independents come here and to Drudge but I’m pretty well convinced that most of them still depend on the Left-biased MSM. We’ll see come November. Until then let’s agree to disagree.
